there is not much incentive to kill people at the moment other than to make them angry, i think when you kill a player you should leech the amount of exp they lose... thoughts?

What about taking their coin? What about taking their camp? What about getting revenge on them? What about dispensing justice to griefers? There are lots of incentives to kill people. You can roleplay an evil dark elf and only kill elves if you want. Make your own fun.

The purpose of pvp in everquest is to enrich the game world and allow for in game disputes (for camps, etc) to be resolved "in character" through pvp.
Its to make the game world feel more alive, not create some sort of arena deathmatch with elves.
So, yes, no change.

How about you get half the experience from them? Right now, I keep passing people I want to PvP, but I just don't have the cruelness in me to kill them and cause them xp loss for no gain to myself.

I agree that there should be some sort of exp gain for pvp, even if there's a timer on it. Like once per person per 2 hours? Half the time it's not even worth it to PvP cause there's nothing you gain from it outside of the joy of killing someone. Better to stay in camp and exp.

How is that different from how it is now? At least you have a CHANCE to get an item. Instead you just grief the player with an hour of lost gameplay; especially since we are all older now and have less time to play (with the exception of the neckbeards and mouth breathers), item loot would keep more players here. There's always still coin loot, just +item loot instead of exp loss.
Would you rather have the chance (like a rare drop) of killing someone that forgot to bag an item, or simply grant them exp loss. I think exp loss will eventually push away the small community that we have.
Hell, I really think it would be fun for someone to also drop a head as a trophy kill. Weightless, statless, no drop head. "%t's head" just for proof of a kill. May be fun in countless ways, including some mercenary kills.

LOL i predict the biggest fail if Roge & co listen to these clowns.
At the bare minimum, yes, you should be gaining xp from killing someone in pvp if there is going to be xp loss.
Something, anything, to entice people to pvp, instead of the other way around like it is right now.
Just put diminishing returns on it.

Or they could just write the code to allow loot inside bags. A-doyee.
What we really need to implement item loot fully is to remove all No Drop tags. Fironia Vie itemization with 1 item loot including bags. Welcome to the greatest server ever made: Darkfall for EverQuest.
It was the next-greatest launch hype before SWTOR. I doubt their servers could handle the traffic to be honest.

1 random item loot would be awesome and will eventually be added to add spice to high level pvp when it gets boring.
