I've been trying to spread the word around about Project1999 to any forums I frequently visit and vouch for the blue/red servers. I'm sure it's contributed to atleast some percetage of the population on here.

I encourage you all to also try and spread the word. The more players - the more enjoyment for us all. Maybe if the mods are interested, they could provide some (albeit small) bonus for joining the P1999 community.

Please get out there and make this place more fulfilling. Even the servers on EQLive, World of Warcraft and other MMOs.

There are certainly more people out there that would love a crack at classic EQ again!

Why, why would I recommend this server to anyone when the only reason I play it myself is from some kind of sick addiction?

I guess I'm only disappointed because I actually played pvp back in the day and this is a pale shadow.

A few months ago I posted this on the official forums along with Smedley quotes praising SWGEMU/Emu developers in general for being the smarts, in 2 separate places and they just deleted the threads (hours apart from eachother lolo).

Perhaps the community as a whole should look at the amount of positive posts made about the server compared to the amount of negative posts.

I've seen like one 'thanks, this is great' post since red99 has launched. That was by Mardur I think.

If you came to these forums as a new player, would you feel welcome?

Reason for my post about Lovely keeping the " I r teh master" post in rant and flames. He is not the only one, but he is te most advertised.
