Getting an Error message

So i got everything running, log in and select server, but when its loading from server selection to character selection i get this error message.

"The instruction at 0x02df1c6b referenced memory at 0x00000018. The memory could not be read."

Can anyone help me with this? i have no idea what to do.

First steps I would take:

-make sure you installed everything correctly
-windows updates
-video card updated
-updated directx

Another user posted the other day about the same problems , try setting your screen resolution to a size you know it does support .
