Whatever happened to people supposed to being penalized for this? Rogean said they would stay online long enough to kill... it's not happening. It was a huge problem in Classic, and it's a huge problem here.

Unfortunately, zone plugging and "Blizzymodem" is classic...

Happens all the time. I love it when i cast one flash of light on someone and they instant pull the plug or head for zoneline and plug. =(

Ditto... the only time the game crashes for me is when I'm zoning, freq I'd say once or twice a night. The game will hang before even displaying the zone loading bar forcing me to Task Manage quit and reboot.

@people disconnecting.

Do you use wireless? Use a wired connection if possible.

Do you use wineq2.0? I highly recommend it if you do not. It includes eqplaynice as a feature and seems to stop most zone disconnects.

Free one works fine, and indefinitely.

After installing, you can make your windowed mode fullscreen by looking in eqclient.ini for

[VideoMode]
WindowedWidth=1920
WindowedHeight=1080
Width=1920
Height=1080
FullscreenBitsPerPixel=32
FullscreenRefreshRate=0
WinEQWidth=1920
WinEQHeight=1080
WidthWindowed=1920
HeightWindowed=1080and changing your resolution settings to match your monitor. Mine is 1920x1080.

There's no reason to be disconnecting :(

@Nilbog - I'm connected via WIFI on my laptop. Other than that, I'm playing in full screen mode with no custom UI or anything. I'll try connecting directly to the router when I'm playing and let you know.

FYI: I actually haven't crashed while zoning in the last couple days of playing, though it was really bad at launch and the first week.
