Due to the long coming grind (which I enjoy, dont get me wrong) I have a few questions before I spend the next month investing in my character only to be really dissapointed
1. How much is the 50% pet dmg solo rule going to effect me since post 20(?) I'm guessing its going to be very difficult to even reach 50% dmg with spells as a enchanter.(and forced to use the stupid work around)
2. How did charm work in PvP on p99 red during beta? I did read it was op then nerfed to its current state on blue p99. Are there plans to A) keep it the way it is B) follow blues 99 timeline of OP/nerfed C) not known?
3. If I charm mobs for pets, tank target down to 10%, then break charm, root/mezz pet or re-charm: does it avoid the 50% pet dmg rule?
~thnks, did search/google for answeres but there was only a single off comment from a dev about these questions.

1. you should try to duo, a cleric or shaman are both good choices. duoing invalidates the exp penalty. if you must solo, it's almost impossible to straight up outdmg your pet, or at the very least extremely impractical.
2. can't comment, don't know. though i will say that i never charmed until after the nerf and i think it's fine now.
3. yes, and there are other ways to circumnavigate this if you are solo. I still think it's easiest to find a partner to duo with.

lol, nevermind.
Way to fucking destroy a whole class devs and +1 for not posting anywhere on your boards changes to building block spells of the enchanter class.
free is free but no thanks.

I kinda feel it's a good thing that these classes are now encouraged to group more.

I love seeing the temper tantrums over classic content

Fear and charm both worked in classic. Thanks for showing up though, I guess?
Comment is about as stupid as the p99 guys not posting what will be and wont be working on red99. I played classic up through Omens/04'ish with all 3 pvp servers mixed in and was kinda excited to start on r99 but having to search a board for dev confirm/deny comments is beyond fucking stupid.

Troll accounts think devs are retarded, more at 11.

iir problem with fear/charm was that it flagged the victim as an npc. Thus a level 20 could fear another level 20 and then a level 50 could kill....

lol... the mez/ mage root thing is not gamebreaking... first off, mages alone, have absolutely no form of cc, and 1v.1 enchanter? hah! im sure they're gonna have to use the tricks of the trade to beat you down, or flee at that.. its the game bro.
learn your class.

I was kinda suprised fear didnt work on players. I do agree that charm could be a game breaker but fear was never an issue on VZ/TZ.
As far as i remember charm worked too. Till too many ppl got charmed and sent into lavapits (chanter would cast levitation on himself and then run over the lava).
Fear (the same as pet root) only works as long you have low MR. For the most part it is essential for necros since it is the only deffensive they get in early lvls and later on.
