Question regarding expansion progression

This will likely determine whether I keep my balls in the insanely-slow classic exp grinder or check out early.


What is the outlook for expansion progression? 12 months to Kunark? 6? 18?

I'm hoping this server is set to stay in the classic era for a while. I already know my RL isn't going to allow me to compete with the uberhardcore crowd who are clocking in 40+ hours this weekend. It will probably be months before I approach the max level on my first toon.

If we are set to stay classic for a while though where casuals will eventually be able to catch up, then I'll feel better about playing here.

I am nowhere near hardcore enough to have a body ready for Kunark in 4 months, I'll be astounded if I've reached level 25 by then.

Havin to always look over your shoulder for a "pk" adds a lot of spice to the monotony of leveling. Tiss why I always preferred Red.

IMO leveling here will be much harder than it is on blue99 just due to the amount of PvP and exp loss that will happen

I knew the vztz crew was in for a suprise..

I grinded like hell as a warrior on P99 to get 50 early
and ive played VZ, and understand the pace that that can add.

Its going to be awhile.. and im with yous

P99 seemed to take forever between new content eg, solro/hate/sky
between each of these i was like "cmon, when they gonna open this sh*t up??" but here?
we should be right on par with pvp slowing the pace down a bit.
and if you do 50 out right away, theres plenty of pvp/pvp raid and forum action to keep it fun

imo, keep classic the same and rush kunark (open kunark+VP/epics) or the hole to get us on par with P99
velious and mass pvp raid > dungeon pvp

Just take it easy while leveling. Believe me, its fucking brutal. Anyone who played p99 blue over the summer knew it would be bad. Doesn't get any easier as you go. PVP gonna make the grind take even longer than the blue box.

I didn't think the grind was bad at all on Blue99. Red99 with FFA PvP is a completely different story, though.
