P1999 has some serious time to put in towards characters and gear is not as epic. PEQ is a good place to play easily, gear up, but also see if I enjoy playing a bard in this example.

i've played DAoC after EQ, was a ton of fun. i'm interested, but really dont want to stray from p1999 even if the servers are down atm. Plus, I've only played DAoC classic as it was released from mythic, no expansions. I don't know whats up with the private serv even if there aren't that many patches, theres still boxing i think :T
