Has anyone ever found the formula for how much str adds to the attack stat? Did some minor googling but pretty sure it is all non classic/bullshit.

and more importantly how much of that translates into dmg increase vs frequency of hits.

dex will increase accuracy based on victims agi

soft cap is 200 for STR, at which point diminishing returns divided by 5 (300str effective 220)

yeah like with all the str gear out there im not too worried about later on but im trying to figure out damage diff early to mid game, with similar weapons how bad will having like 70str vs someone with 100str hurt me dmg output wise.

I recall someone saying the dif between 100 str and 200 str aint much. Maybe you could test it if you got a class that can stack debuffs on a char with high str.

Str -> more damage.

Halfling cuz Velious he will be 255 str, 255agi, 255 dex, 255 sta. As a first char the 5% xp will be nice, they don't completely suck and the crew needs a warrior.

That was a Searyx change on VZTZ, that's not in real EQ.

Here is the formula I've always used to determine max damage:

(Str + 2hb)/100 x WepDmg + DmgBonus = max hit

And here is maximum damage on a monk from when Kunark was the only expansion:

"59 monk with Imbued Fighter Staff (38/40), 255 str, max 2hb skill, epic atk buff, max hit 221"

Yes I know that's a Searyx change, but I remember it was talked about being on here around the start of beta. Perhaps even hard-coded into their custom AC mitigation/avoidance formulas. I wouldn't be surprised though if it was changed during beta because it's not Classic™
