How long ago did Kunark hit P1999, and when will we get Velious?

Asking because once I get high enough (if I do), Velious has a very nice money-sink that I used to practically live at 24-7, the Geodes camp in Crystal Caverns. I also plan to farm Velium there when the time comes.

Velious is going to take a ton of work probs. Lots of scripted events, factions and quests.

epics havent even been implemented yet. itll be a while before we see velious.

Don't wish it away, remember how long we waited to experience this again. After Velious classic trilogy may be gone forever unless these nice people host a trilogy server for a time to come without customizing it.

Alright, instead of money sink, I'll say "wishing well that I drop pennies into and get big fat gems in return."

But Velious was one of my major ways of making money on Live, farming velium weapons off the orcs in CC, and gems off the Geodes near the zone exit.

a money sink is something that takes money out of the economy to combat inflation.

technically, every time you loot a mob or sell anything to a vendor, you are minting more money. so, what you're describing is the exact opposite of a money sink.
