heh I dont think ESPN will be running the live final table again next year, that was what? 8 hours of coverage, most of which was folding pre-flop. Poker un-edited is pretty boring.. if you're not the one playing.

The final table was definitely not boring last night!

I can't believe Phil Hellmuth called after the flop with a measly pair of threes. He must've been kicking himself after that elimination.

My favorite Phil Hellmuth moment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn_VyZHfKtQ

I don't like Phil. Too loud and reactionary.

I haven't watched WSOP in years though. Does Gus Hansen still play? I was a fan.

I'm planning on hitting Vegas soon and hitting the poker tables. I've done pretty well for myself in the past.

I do like Phil. He's entertaining to watch when he blows up, and even though he's a crybaby, he's an honest one. His reactions are (usually) completely understandable because it's almost always the result of a slowroll, a bad beat, or just losing to a badly played hand (for example calling a raise preflop with a very weak hand like 6,4 off). He's a brat, but an honest one, and usually has a good reason for his reactions.

Tony G on the other hand, is a slimy asshole who lies, manipulates, berates, and has no justification for his borish behavior or his antics. I hate Tony G, and as Gabe Kaplan put it, "Tony G could single-handedly reignite the Cold War."

Yeah I think Tony is a legitimate douchebag. Other players you get the sense that their talk is just psychological warfare.

Phil is an immature baby and I don't agree that his reactions are understandable. You can play poker without making a scene every time you lose, but I guess his overreactions and arrogance are entertaining. It's fun to see him lose to smarter and more composed players. ;)

It's true, you shouldn't play Poker if you can't handle things not going your way from time to time. But you honestly can't blame him (THAT much) when he takes a really bad beat or otherwise gets really unlucky. That's real money he's losing when it happens, and usually it's a lot.
