View Full Version : Necro Soloing in Kedge?

I recall basically owning most of Kedge as a Necro on Live. It was one of my "go to" farming places. Unfortunately, what I don't remember is what level I was when I did this. I THINK 65 but it might have been 60.

Have any Necros on P99 had good success soloing Kedge? Maybe not ALL mobs but a good portion of them?

As a druid I plunder it quite often.

What level are you at? When the mobs green out they don't attack you which is handy, but if you mid-low 50s you will still have a lot of light blue crappy mobs on you.

Undertow, Ferocious, Patriarch, Frenzied, Cauldronbubble and Cauldronboil should all be campable by you. I'm unsure how good your pets are... but I *doubt* you could solo Estrella... but if you can kudos.

Thank you for the reply Daldaen. I'm currently level 58 but my question was intended to be for a level 60 Necro.

You are saying at level 60 the green stuff in Kedge won't proximity agro you?

Yes he is Pale, but as a necro you can just CoS anywhere, because afaik nothing in the entire zone sees invis besides Phiny's guards and the oversized fish stick himself.

#1 Estrella of Gloomwater should also see invisi, maybe some others (i'll check)

#2 I am almost positive most "green" mobs in Kedge Keep should be agroing even on level 65's, I'll check this too. Mobs in Kedge are way too high of a level to be ignoring lvl 60's.

No wonder people are talking about how common loot is in p99's kedge.

you're crazy man. have you ever been in kedge? you can start soloing at the entrance at lvl 35-40 or so depending on class. there's no way that garbage should aggro a lvl 60.

the greens at the zone agroed my level 50 shaman last time i went there...i would pull the piercer swordfish and 1 or 2 green lancer swordfish would join in on the pull...

lvl 60 >>> lvl 50

We are talking proximity agro, not assist agro. Anyways, its simple enough to check/test.

Cause troll. Druids > Troll. Animals <3 us. I may have forgotten to mention that but ya if you have a CoS it should be not a big deal.

Phinigel, Swirlspine Guardians, Swirlspine Seahorse, Estrella... and *mabye* Undertow. Everything else doesn't see invis.

The 1st 3 mobs are confined to Phinigel's chamber (kinda...) so you won't see them anywhere but there. Stay out of Estrella's room and you're set there. Undertow's PHer *CAN* be a Swirlspine Seahorse which will see invis, so I think Undertow does as well but again not 100% sure.

What mob are you looking to solo though or just solo most of the zone in general?

You're a necro, you can solo anything @ 60, especially kedge keep krap

someone did say greens don't aggro you. any green can aggro you if your level difference is high enough. your level difference at 60 is +10 levels of your level difference at 50. the only mobs that aggro you when being very green are undead, the fish in kedge are not undead.
