Thex dagger is only disease based, there are cure pots for disease that are more game changeing then the dager.

I dunno about a prenerf stein maybe someone can shed some light on that.

Cryosilk shield - I would probably say it safe to assume it goes along with the robe. Post I read give it that timeline.

Glimmer rings is a touchy subject. It probably will be abused in pvp, but its viability in pve is still the same. This is still a pve game but also has pvp.. Can make the recharge a not so favorable price to keep it in game and or keep plat from entering the economy? IDk. The years and years I've played live, and the boxes, items like this already exist and they never made that big of a impact. Oh you don't get that 1 kill np, that player now has to travel 12 zones to get back to where they were from there bind.

Just a note, if you take out glimmer ring, we will just use ct pots... IMO leave it in.

Aeolwind confirmed over and over that Thex Dagger was working correctly, I spent hours upon hours trying to figure it out and bug reporting where the quest was "going wrong" (based on the original classic version). Truth came out later after I quit that the quest never worked right, they put in some stupid custom version of it for a week and then disabled it.

Hoping thex dagger quest is handled a bit more professionally on this server, but I doubt it.

Also because you are able to wield the 1hb version in one hand and then the "nerfed" one off hand. I had this set up on live.

Just replace the Royal Thex Amulet with the Thex dagger for the first month or so.. The script is already in place and its the closet thing to the actual quest we know. Its available to everyone and whether they do it or not is up to them... If they want to continue on with the Silent Watch Quest, the Thex Dagger can be made as the requirment for it instead of the Amulet. For around a month or so is it.

Anyone that could bind could do this quest by themselves, I got 7 of these total, gave them to my guild and kepy 3 for myself. It was a very easy quest to do for a druid, it only took 10 minutes from start to finish. I'm pretty sure Bro Z, Hasten and "a drake" (maybe not exact name) all share the same spawn.

As far as quest goes that went in when Jboots stopped dropping right? I'd say if you make the AC either not spawn or not drop the ring of the ancients that problem is fixed. Unless of course you want to start with it in game. I can't remember when it was added / if AC spawned at release.

dont know, first i heard of the quest was on the emulator wiki when looking for good newbie earrings, allakhazam has posts in 2001 indicating it had already been removed.

I'll explain it then. There was a temporary event where Lesser Faydark was corrupted. Some undead and frightlings (imp/scareling model) spawned during this "event." The sky was also red / rained blood like in Plain of Fear.

The normal frightlings rarely dropped a skull that you could turn in for the earring. A named Frightling, Bloodboil would drop a wing that could be turned in for that cloak.

The event ran a few months or so in late velious / early Luclin era iirc. I'm sure someone could find exact dates, not gonna waste my time atm though considering I know the stuff isn't classic.

Pardon my lack of Shammy knowledge, but aren't their PvP dots pretty much only on the Poison line besides a couple?

It ran for fucking forever. Long enough that it felt really odd to go into that zone after and not see the red shit.

Also, if you're going to eventually remove Locket of Escape from the game, then at least enable city binding in Plane of Mischief so melees don't get fucked.

Removing this item isnt going to change pvp really. People willl just obtain the other items that can instant gate/port.

Now if you want all instant gate/port items removed than that might be more inline with your statment but just to have ring removed,i dont see really impacting pvp that much since there are easily obtainable alternatives

The only thing about the gate potion is that classes without gate could get in some pretty random wtf situations that would pretty much cause corpse rot. I'm guessing the Gms might help out on this one?

I don't think it matters if they spawn, they don't drop loot and you can't do their quests without the drops (that you can't get yet) so it doesn't really matter.

I'd say just leave them in to keep it simple. Then when you want to enable the Jboots quest all you have to do is add the AC spawn in OOT and SRO.
