P99 names are unavailable on beta right now just because that server is a copy/paste of P99.

They way it will work at launch and currently works with the Beta is that if you have the account that has that name on P99 you can create a character with that name on R99. Some other things apply that make the name up for grab if the character hasn't been logged on in x number of days.

I know it works like this, when R99 beta came up I tried creating Atmas on a different account than the one I play with Atmas on P99 and it wouldn't let me. I was able to create it on the same account though. I also was able to create a character named Knuckle because no one has logged in with that toon in forever.

If you have the name on your account on Blue..than it is reserved for you on Red.

My understanding is they did this so someone doesn't poopsock red launch and then snag every high profile name he can to piss people off.

Won't let me create Reiker on the Beta server though, and that character has been on a banned account for 2 years.

Maybe I could get Rogean to delete that char off Blue, I just assumed I'd be able to take it again on Red99.

If you look at the code in that thread I think banned character names are not available as well.

My brief experience on red99beta tells me that shadowknight is by far the best solo pvp class under the current resist system. I don't know about group pvp becuase there generally aren't enough people on the server.
