Greetings,

After updating my files I have had trouble logging in. I have either been told to check my connection, or have logged in to a server select screen that has no servers to select.

I welcome any advice.

Many thanks,

-Grad

I'm having a similar problem. Updated the files, and then got disconnected while zoning and now there are no servers on the serverselect screen.

i'm having the same problem, and i'm using wireless i'm not sure if this's the problem it seems to have spikes just logging into the p1999 website and forums, tried logging on about 200 times and still no server select i figured it'd maybe send the packets if i tried to connect enough but alas, no luck as of yet

i am having the same problem. at first i thought it was my own connection. i don't think it's the new patch because i was able to log in this morning. what ever is causing this it's pretty recent.

I'm having the same problem as Reneb. Updated spell files, logged into my paladin just fine. Went link dead while zoning into Howling Stones. Now I either can't login due to "connection error" or when I do log in, there is no servers at the server select screen.

Same problem here, that seems like it's related to EQEmu more than Project 1999. Still, I'm curious to why I can't even select a server.

Well i think its something server-side because the website seems to be very slow.

And in game people are fading in and out like you are going LD all the time but then pops back

I'm also having a problem. Downloaded the new patch files and logged in fine. Played for over an hour. Then I went LD while zoning.

Now I can't get on at all. I get one of 3 errors.

1) It either hangs on "Logging into the server, please wait..."

2) I log into a blank server select screen.

3) Timeout error.

Been trying several times now and just can't get on. Keep getting the errors above over and over. Will keep an eye on this thread and try later I guess.

Also of note, this site is loading noticeably slower than normal. Something's going on.

I'm having the same problem. No servers show up, or stalls pulling up the server select screen. One time the servers did show up I got an "Unknown Error".

Comcast here also, but it's too coincidental with this disconnection stuff happening right after a new patch. Along with Rogean's post in this thread. http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=52390&page=6

Same isue and I am also using Comcast, can anyone not using comcast confirm if they can get on or not?

Tarathiel
10-23-2011, 05:07 PM
it probably is just a coincidence. it's more like its a login server issue. how could comcast affect that?

Just used my phone to log in and it is working FINE. Comcast seems to be the issue here.

Interesting. I also use Comcast and am experiencing this problem. If we are to call Comcast to complain, what exactly do we say to them to characterize the problem?

same here ive been on the phone with comcast it seems to be localized to the project1999 sight and eq as for everything else is running fine and full speed

If you call into comcast let them know they need to open a TTS ticket to national for routing issues

Just got my server list!!!

Logging in!

Comcast user.

Was looking through another thread and saw someone w/o Comcast having the same issue. It may be server side.

Guess I won't be logging out until these threads go away, lol.

I am on Time Warner RoadRunner and have this issue intermittently. I start Wireshark before logging in to see if I can capture some helpful packet info, but it hasn't happened while I'm watching it, yet.

First 3 seconds are EqEmuLauncher getting info from P1999 about updates. Then a 10 second gap while EEL checks my files. Then EQ starts getting the server list. After that, silence followed by a timeout error. There were lots of malformed packets and lots with checksum errors.

I turned off the IP Checksum Offload for my NIC to ease the shecksum errors, but the mass of malformed packets hasn't quit when I log into EQ.

I've atttached the Wireshark file so you can have a look.

I don't have comcast. I have Quest (sprint or something I think?). Same problem. I can log in sometimes, but others it doesn't populate the server list.
