I used to play EQ back in the day, not only was it my first MMO, it was also my first RPG, I played this when I was about 8, before I knew who that elf punk in the green hat saving the princess was. I always thought he was a jerk, keeping fairies in a bottle.
I played the "Living Legends" thing Sony did ahile ago, and got to play my old account for free for like two weeks or somthing, and wanted to cry with how it's turned out now days.. I thought I'd be able to find a group easy, yanno level 10 rogue, stollin into crushbone, only to find it empty! I'm sure you all understand the excitement I experienced when I heard of project '99.
Now my real question is, do I really have to drop the 45-90 bones on Titanium? I'm a broke college student, and I've found EQ1: The Anniversary edition, with all the expansions, for less than $25 new! Will this work?
Thanks!

The only person I ever met who said "shanks" instead of "thanks" was the worst human being I've ever met in my life.

Well then Mardur, you've never met Sean Connery..
And I'd me more that willing to make it so your statement is "Half of the people I have met who says "Shanks" instead of "Thanks" happens to be the worst human being I've ever met in my life. The other was this kid from the forums who is pretty cool."
OR! Maybe we could hang out, and meet Sean Connery and your statement could be read as such:
"One third of the people I have met who says "Shanks" instead of "Thanks" happens to be the worst human being I've ever met in my life. Another was this kid from the forums who is pretty cool, and the third is Sean Connery"

The only problem that you are creating by putting words into Mardur's mouth is using the presumptuous phrasing, "pretty cool."
I'm amused you went to such great lengths to type it all out but c'mon I'd think dorky is a little more appropriate here :p
You do indeed need the Titanium client.
Factoid: Titanium is a precious metal and can usually be found with other precious metals in a treasure chest hidden away in a cove or bay.

Aadill- Thanks... I guess..
Ele, and others- I've already sailed to the far reaches, and discovered a copy of Titanium..
My next question.. I'm trying to change the host, but it would allow me to save it.
I get this error message:
Cannot create the C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqhost.txt file
Make sure that the path and file name are correct.
Any tips for should I make a thread in the Tech board?

If your using windows 7, click start, type notepad right click send to desktop. Right click desktop icon, run as admin. Once the program is open, choose File, Open, go find the file, make changes, save.
Running as admin = needed for much.
