In Tox forest- Stackable loots that have value such as bone chips and spider silks are not being added to inventory. Instead one of the item occupies a slot, and following loots of this item do not show up in inventory, but the chat msg says you did.
This is painful for a necro collecting bone chips or someone trying to do tailoring.

When I sell at the vendor, I can sell only the one of those items that appears in my inventory (backpack slot or normal slot). This item does not disappear from my inventory and if I try to sell it again I get the error msg that is the title of this thread.
If I try to move the bugged item to another inv slot, I get a locational server error 'loc 20>" or something.

This is about the 6th topic on this already. Once you sell the item, it's not there anymore, it's just an icon bug. Delete what you have sold and move on. If you lock yourself up by trying to sell the same item multiple times all you need to do is JUMP, and you're fixed.

The icon is the least of my concerns, its the failure to add items of value, like bone chips, to my inventory in quantities > 1.

So, if I am reading you right jumping fixes this aspect of the bug?

Umm, thanks. I suppose this answers someone's questions but not mine.

I am not locking up and dont care as much about the icon bug as I do the fact that I can loot 10 bone chips and never have more than one in my inventory.

So, lvl 4 and the new pet requires 2 bone chips to summon. Can't summon b/c I can only seem to have 1 bone chip in my inventory no matter how many I loot.
Is no one else having this issue?

I had a similar (but not exactly the same) issue months ago with a bandage. I could not buy more and the one I had would not go away. On the bright side, I could bandage myself all I wanted forever...but it was weird.

I have not seen it since though. Hopefully a dev chimes in here for you.

The fix for this is left-click looting. Loot the corpse and instead of right-clicking the loot you want simply left-click the item to be picked up and then left-click again; this time on your inventory screen to auto place the item in a container (or an open inventory slot). My friends and I have adopted this technique and it seems to work consistently. I hope this helps.

Thanks BigFella, that is working.

the problem is you still have to put each bone chip or other stackable item in its own slot, its impossible to manually make stacks of looted items after youve done this, it may show the quantity rising but the item is not there, and will poof back down to a count of 1 (one) when you camp or zone. Its kind of a huge bug.

Huge is an understatement. Game Breaking is more accurate.

I have posted this in another thread, but I am going to re-post it here. I do not mean to spam, but Rogean broadcasted a little while ago that there is no good step-by-step bug report on the forum so I want to attempt to get one out there.

Foraged items, tradeskills combines and "stocked" vendor inventory all stack normally. However, this bug has happened to every single stackable item I have looted since the last patch. It is not limited to a particular type of item. If it stacks, and is dropped from a mob, it gets bugged in the following way:

1) Right Click Looting: If you right click an item to loot it automatically, the first one appears normal. Any subsequent identical loot right clicked from a corpse will poof. Right click to loot bone chips from 100 skeleton corpses and you will end up with only 1.

2) Left Click Looting: If you left click an item and then place it in a bag manually, the first one appears normal. Any subsequent identical loot placed manually on the stack will appear to be adding up normally. Yet, when you zone or log, that stack will become 1 of the item. Left click and manually stack bone chips from 100 skeleton corpses, and when you zone each stack of 20 will become a stack of 1.

3) Selling Loot: If you try to sell any of this looted stuff to a vendor it will only give you money for 1 of the stack. The vendor's text will be blank where the amount of money usually appears but the money will be added to your inventory. It will also leave a ghost of the item behind in your inventory, which will need to be destroyed.

4) Buying Loot: The vendor's inventory will appear to have an infinite quantity of this bugged loot, however, they will run out after selling only 1. The item you are trying to buy will poof if you already have one in your inventory, just as if you had looted it from a mob. Stackable vendor items that are "stocked" as part of default inventory act normally. So food, water, bandages, etc are all un-bugged. It is only stackable mob loot sold to a vendor by a player that is bugged.

The only way around this that I have found is to put each stackable item in its own inventory slot. Keeping each separate is the only way I have kept loot from poofing. I have tried dropping it on the ground and picking it up, and it poofs if stacked. I have tried trading it to other people, and again it poofs if allowed to stack. It seems like the act of looting it creates the bug somehow.

It may also help to note that these bugged items can be processed for tradeskills, and the resulting item can then be stacked normally. So looting spider silks would poof them if they are stacked, but you can turn them into silk swatches which will stack normally. This is as clear as I could explain, I hope this helps.
