about 30 online most of the time so there is not much pvp to find lately
looks like everyone is waiting for the real server...just bring it on so we can finaly "test" it the way you want it. who cares if it isnt polished since blue99 wasnt, by far, bugfree too when it was released some years ago
besides that, advertise! smedy, hows it going with your promo vid?

agree, everyone in my guild that is going to play (15ish people) are waiting for the real server. fix the resistance system, figure out what level range you want pvp and the rest can come in the following weeks imo.

Agree, bugs are all part of the "classic" experience anyways. Don't do what Darkfall did and take years to release this thing. :cool:

They aren't going to release it until major bugs are fixed. If they don't have time to fix bugs right now because of real life, they aren't going to have a lot of time if they release Live right now either. Plus there are surely a lot of undiscovered bugs. Just be patient and stop goddamn whining.

You guys have no idea how much I'm trying to juggle with the preparation and release of R99.. My life is literally a clusterfuck right now.
Having said that I am trying really hard not to have to give up getting this server released, however I really need help from the community in the forum of moderation of the bug forums and helping us with information, feedback, and prioritizing things.
I haven't even barely had time to read the forums in the last 2 weeks.

I haven't lost interest..I'm still grindin'.. I just have school most of the time.
Changes are imminent, they are workin..its all good.
Remember a month or so ago when most of us thought we knew that red99 was just a pipe dream? Well, its happening. I'd be happy with a january release. Whatever it takes.

ya, but still, with all the respect given to rogean, those 30ppl playin rite now wont be much of help to further test stuff after that imminent patch.... he needs more "testers", and the only way to get them is to release the real server after the next patch

Most of us don't want to play on a pile of shit like vztz. We are ok with the beta taking as long as these guys need to create a good classic pvp experience.

np then, expect a perfect and bugfree server release by summer 2012 with the current number of players. to each their own.. iam tired to run through countless deserted zones just to find a player not in my pvp range. iam just going to enjoy some real life till this baby goes live :)

You'd have better luck finding people to test with by creating a post concerning testing, rather than a post referring to your lack of interest until launch. Suggesting a lack of faith in development is no more constructive either.

You could use the global ooc to group up and test fighting each other.
Unfortunately, beta kills are so important and deserve much trash talking, why risk it.
30 people of similar level ranges sounds fine to test. You wanted the server? Help him test. Or just go back to playing commando and playing battle of the epeens.

The pop gets up around 100 most nights. There's a real problem with a handful of bored 50s griefing newbies. As long as that keeps up, the server will continue to have trouble.

i started this thread to point the global lack of interest out. i have faith in development but not with the current playercount.
they would be 10times faster with more people playing and there is only one solution to make them play on the server.

They should at least have to risk gear to pick on the newer players. Item loot on ffa is smart. The people who going to leave because of the heartache of losing an item are the same people who will leave after they get PK'd for the 4th time of the day.
Of course spewing out reasons they quit because "they don't have time to deal with children", trash talk or not.

yea, something like this would speed it up since the rest of the world is a working carbon copy of blue99 anyways. the only reason why the beta is out is for pvp and for that we basicly just need 1 zone

The question is. What kind of information does he want? I'm pvping non stop vs every single red conned player I see. But they all run like pussies so much testing ain't getting done. Not that I would know what he want to be tested anyway. There is already a few hundred posts about spell resists on roots/snares/dispells etccc

The solution isn't in releasing live, it's tweaking things about beta. Now if things are complicated in Rogean's life that's totally understandable, but why not have one of the other GM's tweak xp rates to x10000, put in NPC's that give you x amount of gear that you would be able to achieve in certain tiers and etc, so we can test out the pvp?
Yes, this server isn't the ezserver, but beta should be.
As some one else said for the one hundred and fifth time, no one wants to grind on a beta.

i would be more than willing to log in if given some specific time / job to do that will generate test data for the devs to work on. just leveling a character uselessly is not high on my priority list though.

I lost interest only because of all the bugs...the main one being resists are way off now and to the point retarded. What's the point of beta testing a pvp server if I can't land my dots (on PCs)? Also I spent two days questing totemic and had my components poof at the quest npc (had 6 pieces ready to make - first 2 poofed so I quit)....that was the bug that made me loose interest for now.
