damage shields have the 30% pvp nerf applied to them, they did full damage in classic.

i report bugs and inaccuracies as i find them, if you want to chime in demanding proof every thread (in spite of others saying the same thing) go look for it, preferably at the bottom of a shotgun barrel.

Despite my post above, I agree that damage shields always did full damage at this time.

This doesn't mean shit though, because there is no proof, again.

Proof is useful when you are trying to argue something that goes against the accepted and when there is proof to actually find. To my knowledge how damage shield work on live was never altered so my attempt to find anything that indicate how it exactly works was futile. I found patch notes about duration being increased or damage shield being added and removed from druid buff but nothing pertinent that states that ds does or does not do 66% dmg in pvp

Considering that damage shields are not affected by resists and immunities, I think they shouldn't be reduced in pvp either. They should do full damage unless it can be proven otherwise.

Anyone who played a druid on live knows damage shields did indeed do full damage. Basically what made druids able to crush most melees who didn't use a 2her. Even in kunark epic rogues were no problem for a druid to dispatch, tank, turn a bunch to avoid backstab, and spam chloroblast until they realized they were killing themselves then chase the bastard down. Honestly I think this spell was overlooked as PvP damage when the spell nerf rolled through; what i mean to say is it probably wasn't an intention stay in by verant they just stupidly didn't consider it when they did decide on the spell damage change. I don't think anyone ever talked about it so I doubt you will ever find any proof!

I never SS'd any killshots because I'm terrible at this game but Darwoth you should consider looking through all your old SS's of you killing people there is probably a ds message or two.

Agreed, make damage shields do full damage. Proof shouldn't be necessary, should be unanimous.

there was always a difference in PVP dmg sheild from what i remember

I dont recall ds doing reduced dmg in pvp, it did on vztz. Unless there is proof showing live had ds pvp dmg reduced i think it would be ridiculous considering ds last aroud 5 mins so to add reduction to it would severly gimp the applications of it in pvp

Should also be noted that same safehouse thread has a guy claim ds damage is nerfed a few posts down.

-Highest druid dmg shield is 38 counting both the ac + ds + the pure ds which stack. This Ds does 25 in pvp due to pvp reduction
