I'm assuming the server will go Live when all of the most egregious bugs are fixed to the devs' satisfaction. If beta dies out that just means Live will take longer (the same thing happened with the Kunark beta for blue99, and eventually we got a day or so of forced beta testing because so few people were testing anything)

Then he can spawn vendors with different gear and have some /level & skill commands.

Sounds like a better way to test core mechanics. The leveling already works on blue imo.

The beta will end once the devs are comfortable with the mechanics. alot is still buggy atm. all this doom and gloom about the server dieing is just a bunch of moron's that don't know how a beta works. those still on the server are testing what they can, that or just having fun with the pvp and reporting bugs along the way. the faster we find the bugs, the quicker they get fixed, the faster live launches.

im pretty sure the reason why they started the beta with just leveling is to test low level mechanics. Spells, buffs, pvp elements. had they just allowed transfer form the get go, or some npc that level you ect. those elements would likely not have gotten much testing.

those complaining are just lazy fucks that don't wanna "work" and want to skip straight to the "fun"

those actually testing and reporting bugs they run into are the people that will make red nice and shiny when it launches so everyone will have fun together without the frustration of bugs or broken mechanics :)
