Not sure if anyone else has come across it,but on my necro i FD with agro mob stops attacking and walks away i wait several min and stand up and it runs across the zone to kick me in the nuts while medding. just wondering if anyone else was having problems with FD agro loss.

i played on p99 as a sk and agro loss was almost instant.

They might still have FD memory enabled. They enabled it on P99.

I haven't played my monk in about a year so the old mechanics were still in. What exactly are the new mechanics? It is just the same as live where mobs over level 30 will remember you until you stay feigned long enough to receive the mobs have forgotten about you message?

Is there something else to it?

Nope.

Don't think there is a message, but I didn't have a FD class on P99

The message may appear due to client issues (unless the dll hooks finally removed it) but that functionality was not in during the classic or kunark era.. it may have even been after velious... i'm too lazy to check.

So is the memory enabled on mobs over 30 or do all mobs have it?

I did FD on named HG in rathe mountains (over 30) and he remembered me until I got an invis while FD.

I remember people having to FD multiple times on P99 to shake aggro.

Sometimes it took 3 or 4. But the invis while FD'd thing always works.

Ok it is not what I was thinking about from live. AFter doing some digging, this is what I found regarding feign memory.

Please keep in mind that while there are some bugs, it is intended that you will only have a 30% chance to drop aggro on a mob when you stand up (100% if the mob is a static spawn that has returned to it's guard spot). This is classic.

My main was an iksar monk during kunark era. FD would almost always make a static mob lose aggro. Sometimes I had to fd multiple times in order to lose non-static mobs aggro. If I had to many non-static mobs on my aggro list, I usually had to /q out to lose aggro.
