Buff box not showing

Friend seems to not be able to bring up his buff box. He has tried the commands and manually in options. nothing working.

alt w should bring the control bar thingy up depending on the ui youre using. i just hold alt down and press the shit out of buttons to get mine up lol.

Guy is still having issues. Buff bar will not show up after trying a bunch of methods. His other characters do have it however and he was told it could have something to do with char files?

Where would these be located and is that possible?

Try Alt-B Maybe that'll bring it up? If not im not sure what it could be.
