It's the beta. There's like 100 people on at peak. Rogues were alright in early p99 and there were only like two or three hundred players back then. You can almost always find groups somewhere, and when you can't, that's just how it is. Boxing is only worth even considering if the population is so low that groups just don't happen.

Practically nobody boxed in the beginning. You couldn't even alt-tab out of the game for the first long while, and who had two gaming PCs with a solid connection in 1999? Boxing wasn't even allowed to begin with.

The only time boxing has ever been considered for p99 was when it was in development and the idea of over 100 players was hugely ambitious. What we don't need on red99 is for everyone to just plant their duo in the spot with least traffic and grind or camp nameds by themselves while nobody cares to actually PvP for any content besides frenzy camp and things like that because nobody needs to group with other players. Boxing is completely counterintuitive to an active, engaging PvP environment, and the only time it should ever be considered is if the population becomes so low that group-reliant classes are unplayable. That looks hugely unlikely.

I'm a euro who will be playing a melee class and I'm against boxing.
