I have been a diehard fan through thick and thin, that being said 4-0 this season, back to back 20+ point comeback victories, when does that ever happen? I want to hear sports fans opinions on this subject minus the rants and flames of course.

Patriot's Fan Opinion: There are mainly 2 reasons behind their success. Matthew Stafford's poise in the pocket and arm strength & the Detroit pass rush. While overrated to this point, has certainly been effective enough in the 2nd half to force opposing QBs to make mistakes.
I am still unsure whether Stafford is for real, and for now I think likely Chicago beats them once, and the Pack twice.

Rams Fan Opinion:
Lions haven't started 4-0 since 1980 and Barry Sanders... Ride the wave while you can my friend, because the Rams were supposed to make this a resurgence year, and that remains to be seen. At least some underdog fans get their days this season.
Good luck!

I've been a fan for years as well.....
7-2 Never forget, if you've been a fan for awhile you know what I mean.
Hopefully things keep on rolling though.

After what happened to the Lion's in the season opener against the Bears in 2010 I do really hope the Lions work them over on Monday. Also I work in 'Bear' country so it would really piss my supervisor off!

I'm just hoping this means that the Red Wings suck this year. Det can't have 2 good teams.

We already do. Tigers & Red Wings.
Pistons need to be BAD BOYS.
And the Lions need more bears.

I said last year that they would be decent this year. My buddies laughed at me. Ive been making a point to watch Lion's games with them now. They all took back what they said, especially the lion viking game, coming back from 0 - 20.

GET THE BALL TO MEGATRON!
I'm from Atlanta, so I love that a University of Georgia QB is throwing to a Georgia Tech WR.
I'm jumping on the Detroit bandwagon and I don't care who gives me crap about it!
That being said, definitely have a couple L's in the future (GB, Bears), but I see no reason why they shouldn't have a solid season.
Now if the Tigers can beat the Rangers... that'd be something!

Matthew Stafford looks like Chunk from The Goonies + the Lions aren't for real
They didn't beat Dallas. Dallas beat themselves, and I think anyone who watched that game would agree. They barely got by the washed-up Vikings.
You can say they are a good team and 4-0 is 4-0, but the ZOMGOMOG SUPERBOWL CONTENDER talk is really premature.

I agree 100 %, they're not there.. yet.
Dallas (Romo) imploded and McNabb and the Vikings can't do anything right.
That being said, they are still headed in the direction and I think they have a pretty good franchise QB in Stafford.
Beats the hell out of their "defeated" season a few years back.

Lions are projected to beat the bears on monday, thoughts?

the bears aren't good. they weren't that good last year either. if it wasn't for the ridiculous "THE CATCH IS A PROCESS" rule, the lions would have beaten the bears in week one last year. say what you want about how the lions are pretenders (dallas beat themselves, old bones mcnabb sucks, minnesota sucks) but right now megatron is just about uncoverable, titus young is an up and coming receiver able to make great plays, and the defense can pass rush extremely well and come up with big plays when needed.
I am worried about the run game since we seem to have absolutely none of it. however, at this point it has been working out thus far. after two improbable comebacks I can watch every game confident that the lions can come away with a W. obviously they won't go 16-0, but I can see them beating the bears and vikings twice and maybe stealing one from GB.

If Detroit beats Green Bay on Thanksgiving the whole Lion's season will be a win no matter what.

I'm just glad that the lions might actually make the thanksgiving day game somewhat of a good game.

One of two undefeated teams in the NFL still. 5-0 of the first time since 1956. Very solid victory over the Bears. Ford Field was so loud, I think the Lion's fans trounced the Bears just as badly as the players did. Good show Lions, 49ers, you are next!
P.S. The Bears beat themselves, AMIRITE!!!

As a Titans fan im completely happy for you guys to be kicking some ass finally. It doesn't hurt my mood that Manning is out for the season and we finally have a QB that's worth a shit though, haha.

First the Tigers, then the Lions, gah its upsetting. Like others have said though, nobody expected a 16-0 season from the Lions, we all knew it would happen at some point. 49ers played a great game and are doing very well this season, here is hoping the Lions learn from the mistakes they made this game and are better the next time around. Not trying to offend and it's a bias opinion but I just felt like there was no reason Detroit should have lost this game.

I agree, I'm a bit disappointed, but like you said, we all knew it'd happen.
I freaking loved the ending though when the 49ers coach was pumped up and the Lions coach Jim Schwartz was pissed. Can't wait to see that again on SportsCenter.

I'm a diehard lions fan as well, hope they can make a decent run in the playoffs... hopefully they can improve the running game next year by focusing on getting some OL that can run block and keep their RBs healthy for once to take them to the next level.
calvin johnson needs to be nerfed
1 man offense and its a gd wide receiver

As a vikings fan I'm really hoping the Lions do something in the playoffs. Beating GB would be amazing but I'll settle for a good showing. They've always been my 2nd favorite team in the NFC.
The roar has been restored.
As a niners fan, I'd love a rematch but have a feeling it will be Saints then Packers if we get that far, but you never know.

i'm hoping the lions can beat GB on sunday, it would be the first victory there since 1991. If they do, they will be doing themselves a huge favor come playoff seeding. If we win, we would get dallas or NYG as opposed to having to play the saints in New Orleans. Go Lions!
