Brief check on the forum and I can't find out what the rules are? Is it all guessing still?

Specifically:

1- Teams or FFA?

2- Level range +/- 8 or 10 or? When does pvp start?

3- Can enchanters Charm players? (yes please)

4- Hows exp rate? (I don't care what it is, just curious)

5- Item Loot? Coin Loot if no?

6- When can we log in? Is it live now? (at work atm)

Some(Read:most) of this stuff you are asking for is still being decided and is being discussed in post in this forum. Has the exp rate been discussed however? Perhaps someone else knows...shrug

Not much of that is really known yet.
Server is still locked with not much word from Rogean.
No rules are set except FFA, no global chat, prob close to P99 xp rate but thats not even known.

5- Item Loot? Coin Loot if no? They are leaning towards a item loot but non equipped gear atm.

6- When can we log in? Is it live now? (at work atm)No one knows the day nor the time. Not even the angels in heaven

I'm going off what I've seen in IRC chat from devs. Rogean said last night he is preparing a NEWS announcement. Expect it today or sometime this week.

yesterday in chat Rogean said he was working on a post. I imagine a bunch of answers will be in that when it shows up.

Thanks info, not for the soft it appears and looks like Enchanters will be for the meek. Pvp at level 1? That's certainly different. Can't wait to play, I'm sure I'll be killed more often than your average decayed skellie but grateful for the chance to pvp EQ-style once again

Mykel, Gimil, and Shale... the Triumvirate lol

Yeah, ended up going with Mykel to Vegas for one of the fan faire things, met Gimil and Shale later on in the Portland area.

Sumi... would be great to see make a comeback. Will never forget seeing Sumi zoom through the EC commons with about 40 dark elves in hot pursuit back in the day.

I remember charm/fear worked in the very beginning of RZ but was patched out after it became clear it was OP, how did it work with other servers?

Just for the lawlz I think enchanters should be able to charm players, however it should be easily resistable.

TZ ench lasted for a little bit, i go to low 20's before it got removed.How ever you could charm LD players for a very long time, i remember doing it in Velious.

Bard ae fear lasted all the way till kunark for what ever reason

One thing about Fear, is when you feared someone others could attack them no matter the level. In oasis I remember a high level asking me to fear this one guy he did not like so he could murder him.

Fear in dungeons was a nightmare. Fear player, they run off with a train in tow to die somewhere deep in.

on VZ charm was patched out early..
i leveled so fookin slow back then i was prolly 5-15 by that time and never feared the charm..
but the fear yes! hahah

AE fear worked for a long ass time after they made targetted fear stop working. You could cast it so long as you didn't have a target and hit anyone/anything around you.

I cant recall if level 1 was the rule on another server, SZ maybe?
that server opened late didnt it. like after baz was open

Im used to having a level 5 trader (or under)
out of pvp range, to handle transactions for me :D

If level 1 is the new starting level, i wont be using a mule lol

so since its FFA, will this affect Paladins AoE taunt with blind if in a group trying to kill mobs? same goes for bards harmful aoe songs? or will group members not be effected by them? forgot how that all worked

yep, if you use any type of AE you will hit your group mates

GG it just dawned on me

This is prolly why i was always about 5-15 levels behind on every expansion
i was to busy messin around and goofin off lol
