Unknown Error

I just got home from a petes coffee where i was playing eq just fine. Now when i log in at home at the server selection screen when i launch it pauses for a moment then says: and unknown error has occured.

Any suggestions?

I got this a few times and now things are getting worse and worse lol

I have the same issue...removed wsock, then took suggestion to remove eqgame.dll etc to get rid of that remove wsock message. Now, I get an unknown error has occurred.

EDIT: I went and tried the EQlauncher. I thought that maybe removing the eqgame.dll was causing it so i put it back and tried the launcher. Well, I got past the wsock message however I got the same unknown error anyway.

I got that too, so on a whim i updated my .net framework and it just went back to the same old Error 1017...
Not sure if this will fix your problem, but it got me back to the one I've had all week, lol.
