Divinity is an officer run EverQuest EMU guild on the Project1999 server. We're a great bunch of people who get the job done and have fun doing it. Currently we are considered a "Class R" guild which means we are a casual raiding guild.

Divinity is still recruting and has some turn-over (just like any other guild, I guess). But some old folks are still around : Amax, Sernity, Wiggles or Auvdar (maybe more) have been in the guild for a while and are still active.

Divinity is doing ok !

We have regular raids with approx 3 full groups during US peak hours. We also have a bunch of euro members and are sometimes able to raid during euro hours too.

And the energy is good too : we recently killed Inny, Dojorn, OOA and Maestro.

Divinity is really not a purely raiding guild. Batphone doesn't ring everyday. Most of the time, someone will suggest something (epic fight, regular exp group, etc.) and people usually show up.

The application process takes some time. By the time apps reach full membership we get to know them quite well. The result is people usually prefer to hang out with each other than joining a pug group.

So yeah, random guild stuff definitely happen outside of raids.

Just like any other secret society or college brotherhood, you will have to eat dirt to make your way into Divinity. As an app, we will laugh at your gear and call you names as you shamefully walk to eat your mandatory DT(s). We will only bring you along to make us look good by letting some outsider grab the rotting gear.

But once you reach full membership, that's when it all begins, as you'll finally be able to have some fun with us. And off course, you can take revenge and reproduce this behaviour with the new applicants...

We're tight-knit but I wouldn't call us cliquey. After all cliquey is such an asinine-sounding word (I mean, just say it out loud... "clee-kee"). If anything there are little sub-cliques that most members end up being a part of. Neryn for example is part of the french clique, which is a subset of the euro clique. Then there's the canadian clique, the shaman clique (consisting of about 60-80% of the guild), the Trak BP clique, etc. Think of it like hogwarts, and each clique is like slitherin or hufflepuff or something. In all seriousness though, we try not to be alienating to our apps and involve them as much as possible in guild activities. I'd like to think most newer members don't have trouble fitting in, and I felt very welcomed when I was an app, but then again that was years ago.

Im starting tonight. Im a old player from Beta up until Luc expantion. I never played after that so its been awhile. I stumbled upon this free server and the population on it amazes me and its during the timeframe that i love. Im so excited now I cant wait EQ was by far my fav game.

Sometimes you just gotta want it bad enough to make it worth the effort. :)

Though as long as you have vent and are active on the forums and in game you will find the time will pass pretty quickly.

What kind of raid targets is divinity capable of tackling? Or is FE/TMO the only option for god/dragon kills?

The only targets we haven't killed outside of VP are Gore and Trak (though we're "capable" of killing them). Outside of server repops our focus is more on Sky, where we kill isles 6 through 8 (without Sirran charming or riposte chains) on the regular.

hey dont get me wrong, killing sev with 15 is pretty impressive, i've seen 20 VP geared TMO's wipe to him.

In culprit's defense, we were lagged badly on our engage and sev got stuck in a tree rofl.

Either way though I was stoked to see you guys win, its a shame sev is so stingy with the scales....
FE is like 2 scales for 18 sev kills now :(
