yeah, i dunno how to embed videos on this board, but its basically a video of reactions of passers by when they see a woman beating the crap out of a man.

out of over 100 of them, only ONE stopped to see what was the matter. if that was a man beating the fuck out of a woman, i'll bet 90% of them would have stopped.

this is ridiculous. women cry for equal rights for years, but they only want the GOOD parts of equal rights. this double standard needs to STOP.

i'm completely supportive of equal rights, but equal rights means ALL rights, not just some.

I didn't watch much of your link but I did see a man standing over a woman choking her, and then a woman merely slapping a man and pointing at him all mad. It'd look fake and silly the other way around. I'll grant men have less leeway in how much they can slap their partner around in public, but both genders have their pros and cons, deal with it :cool:

I know what you mean. Society has been tailored to think this way. It really, however is a destructive way of thinking. I really encourage you to watch the whole thing.

I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but I like how they used a redhead instead of a blonde or brunette. It's always been insinuated that redheads have shorter tempers.

Even so, what it boils down to is if a woman is beating up a man, people think he did something to deserve it. People think, "well, men are obviously stronger so if they are getting beat up by a woman, its not that big of a deal because they could easily defend themselves". If a man is beating up a woman, he's a lecherous pig because women are obviously so dainty and couldn't POSSIBLY get away from that big strong man.

You have to look at the whole picture though, white males have been on the top of the totem for a VERY long time, they still are financially and politically but socially they are pretty much scum from everything that's been done to everyone else for such a long time now.

Just like the political world actions work like pendulums: They will swing one way, then swing another. You enjoy it when you're up but hate it when you're down.

Try to think of the positives and make the world a better place as a whole. Each action you make effects those around you more than you will know.

For instance, if it's more socially accepted for a woman to slap a man, your average feminist would be categorically opposed to that, even if it seems to benefit women. Feminists primarily focus on the plight of women only because they're more often disadvantaged by gender roles, but the fact that some gender roles work in their favor isn't evidence that feminism is backward or stupid.

I hate the military, but I was butthurt back when I was really young/homeless/suicidal and inquired about being a sniperman in the australian army, and for some gd reason there's no such thing as a sniperwoman. I don't care if you're Mr. Universe, getting slapped in the face stings no matter how frail and weak the woman is or how strong you are. My first reaction is to push her away from me, remove the problem from my vicinity. She stumbles backward, trips, and she thumps her head on the ground.

Now all the sudden, I'm viewed as the monster. Even though she did more direct physical damage to me, and I was simply trying to remove her to avoid further conflict (let alone the fact that when people see a woman slap a man, they automatically assume he deserved it for some reason). The focus automatically shifts to me, because I'm the man and "OMG you pushed her and made her fall! What if she has a concussion??". Cause and effect goes right out the window.

In pretty much all feminist literature I've read the writer has either directly or indirectly been opposed to all gender roles, not just ones that help subjugate women. So I don't think it's fair to say that women who fight for equal rights are actually asking for special treatment.
