Still getting (ERRORCODE DLL-2)

I've tried everything suggested so far, and still no luck.

Added wsock32.dll to both norton exemption lists and restored, Nothing

Disabled norton, re downloaded V13, Nothing.

Removed norton entirely and re-downloaded V13, Nothing.

Restored my machine back to july sometime, Pre-norton, downloaded v13 and extracted files, Nothing.

Still getting (ERRORCODE DLL-2) at the char screen, what am I missing here?

Have you tried reinstalling EQ (without norton) and adding the V13 files again? Also, if you're using windows 7 or vista always run EQ as an administrator.

Yea, i'm running it as an administrator, re-installing will be the last thing I try, I'm thinking the system restore to pre norton time is basicly the same thing, so i'd rather not do all the uninstall/reinstall bullshit to see the same damn ERRORCODE DLL-2 i've been seeing all day, Thanks for the input, Anyone else have any ideas how i can unfuck myself here?

I was having the same issue with Avast anti-virus. I Disabled it for 10 mins while I downloaded the files..

Then went into Settings > Exclusions and checked the Sony EQ folder....sorted.

Same issue here, i have tried everything and i am still getting the error, except mine is DLL-1 or whatever. Seems kinda stupid that I would get this error so long after the patch??

so yeah, im getting error code DLL 2 too now, but i have no antivirus, no maleware nothing installed, and put the 2 DLLs as exceptions in the windows defender whatever shit ... funny!

Why do I get this message when I try to extract the file? I can no longer get to the character select screen. It shows the bar loading with the EQ background then the next I know I'm signed out of my EQ account. Any ideas?

Are you running the game as Administrator?
Vista/7 puts certain access permissions on installed to c:\program files.

Personally, I installed EQ to c:\everquest to avoid all those problems.
