Karanas 1-50

Good evening everybody,

I've got my cleric leveling in the Karanas. My goal is to get her to 50, or as far as I can possibly bear to take her, while staying on the West side of High Hold. That means she'll primarily be in the Karanas, though I am open to Everfrost.

For a human cleric roleplaying under these rules for herself, what are some armor and weapon quests I could run, or what drops should I look out for so she isn't wearing standard plate armor into the higher levels? I already did the Barnacle Breastplate quest in Erudin. What else should I keep an eye out for?

What deity are you? You can make some good armor, might have the ship in a couple ingredients, like mug of seafoam or something, but shouldn't be too outside scope.

The karanas are a great place to solo a Cleric though. You can use undead nukes on the scarecrows on west karana, the undead gnolls (at night) in lake rathe, the ek undead gnolls, the giant skeletons and tower undead in rathe mountains, etc. This "guide" has more details: https://wiki.project1999.com/Per-Level_Hunting_Guide .

Awesome, I appreciate the recommendations. I've been doing the Bandit Sashes for sure, but honestly don't have much experience with Splitpaw in any era, so I'll be sure to check them out... But yeah, I definitely need to find a way to get some gear.

Are you open to grouping? If so, Chief Goonda (34 Shaman) has some decent loot:

Chipped Bone Bracelets: Slot: WRIST, AC: 4, WIS: +5, not lore so you can wear 2
Batfang Headband: Slot: HEAD, AC: 2, WIS: +3 INT: +3
Chipped Bone Collar: Slot: NECK, AC: 4, HP: +10 MANA: +10
He also has decent gear for other slots too.

For lower levels, Blackburrow is awesome. The elite's drop decent gear. You can also spam tailoring on the patches of gnoll fur to make a gnoll hide cloak:

Patched Gnoll Fur Bundle Slot: BACK, AC: 4, SV COLD: +5 (need 16 fur patches without any combine failures)

Refugee Splitpaw can rarely drop a 2handed staff for you too:

Runed Totem Staff: 2H Blunt Atk Delay: 37, DMG: 9, HP: +5 MANA: +5

Are you willing to fight in Runnyeye? That is technically west of High Hold.

There are also some low level areas in the Aqueducts. Seem to remember hunting the named Cube on my lowbie Druid years ago on live. Always loved that zone...
