EverQuest Project 1999 Installer for Linux (Ubuntu/Debian)
I've built an automated installer for Linux Ubuntu/Debian systems.
Download it to your Downloads folder and extract it, make the file .sh executable as a program and run it from your Downloads folder. The filename also tells you what to do.
It will:
Download and install the latest stable version of Wine
Apply the newest Patch V62
Add a desktop icon & remove the useless ones
Swap dsetup files & add underscore to launcher so Wine understands to run it.
Just follow simple terminal prompts—most of the work happens automatically!
Installation Time: Approximately 1–2 minutes on a decent machine with a 5 Mbps+ connection.
I'd really appreciate your feedback so I can continue improving it! Your input means a lot. :)
Security Note: If a trusted tech geek could verify that the installer is safe to use, I'd be grateful!
It's open source, so feel free to improve it yourself.
