I noticed this item while looking at pre-buff ToV loot pictures.

It's listed as dropping from ToV in these item database listings from 2001:

The FoH post seems to imply that it dropped from Lady Mirenilla? It could've been removed from her loot table after the Velious loot buff. No idea if it was vendorable or not.

Neat find. It can't be vendored and it has a cast time of 8.0s according to Lucy, but it wasn't entered until 2005. Magelo claims added on 10/22/01 and instant cast so maybe nerfed later -

I wonder how long it actually survived on the loot table though. A lot of those items had been completely revamped before the end of Velious. For example -

Blydreln's Bane -

Had been altered (presumably to the current stats) by Aug 12 2001 according to the alla comment section -
it's easily in the top 5 best SvC peices around.

Shield of Midnight -

Had been altered by Jul 15 2001 -
The +20str should make up for not using a 2HS

Belt of the Destroyer -

Had been altered by Aug 07 2001 -
first let me say this item has been upgraded, haste is like 50% or more, 15more ac, more hps, more wis/int
(ignore the bit about haste, they were confused and it was a hidden stat to be fair)

ect.

I think most of the relevant item changes happened ~June/July 2001 so I imagine it was removed from the loot table then.

Yeah those have pretty much all of the pre-buff items, they even have info on Doze 1.0 which p99 has never had (to my knowledge)

Would be cool to get the original, harder, blue dragon version of Doze on a future server.

I was part of many, many Lady M kills during Luclin - PoP era, and several Lady M kills during Velious era on live and never once saw this item drop. If it truly did exist in that era, it was extremely rare.
