Trying to download on a computer that didn't work before

Every time I play EQ, I have to use a second laptop because my main computer could not get it running for unknown reasons. Has this happened to anyone? Maybe the resolution was too high or something?

Anyway, I'm trying again and can't even find where to start. I have a loginserver account but it tells me I don't. Could someone give me dummy-proof steps to try to download and get this going a different computer when I already have a character and account and everything?

My previous PC had an issue getting past the server select screen and I never really figured it out. Just a black screen and no character select no matter what I tried (updated drivers, reinstalled windows, sourced a different version of the p99 client from an online friend). Was playing on a netbook for a while and got used to it :D
