Hello!
I am trying the Velium Retrieval quest for my monk. In the wiki, it is said that it took 3 times before obtaining the bracer (only one data point). I was hoping for a 50% Bracer of Hammerfal reward rate but I am at my eigth quest completion and still no hammer...
Can anyone who did the quest tell me how many tries they needed before obtaining the bracer? Do we have an estimate reward % ? I am starting to lose hope...
Thank you :)
Unfortunately game mechanics working as intended.

I feel like 1/3rd to 1/2 of the time you get the bracer.
Sounds like some bad lucky.

It took me like 5 tries to get the bracer on my monk a few years ago. Maybe more. Just stick to it. I know it's a bit of a tedious quest, but the reward is nice.

Just wondering, are you sure you are handing them in to the right Sentry Kale? There are different versions of Sentry Kale, each with different quests.
You need to hail him to be sure that he is givng out the correct quest. Otherwise you need to kill him until the right one spawns.

11 seems like too many - I got 2 bracers in 3 turn ins on my druid

The wiki says:
TURN-IN: You can turn the Shipment of Velium Ore from Ungdin into any of the three versions of Sentry Kale to complete the quest. However, you need the Sentry Kale that responds to "I will deliver the supplies" to start the quest (get the Velium Delivery Note)
Trusting that, I did not check the Sentry Kale version during the turn-in. After every failure I redo the beginning immediately, and I think I only realized it was not the same version 2 or 3 (maybe 4) times, meaning that if the version is important I did the turn-in to the correct version at least 7 times.
Could I just be extremely unlucky, or is it something that can be bugged?

Interesting. Hopefully the wiki is correct with regards to being able to turn in to any of the versions. If you got the XP + Faction + Money, then the turn in was successful. You could double check your logs if you have them to see if any of the turn ins didn't work.
As I said earlier, it did take me at least 5 tries on my monk, maybe more. This was a few years ago, but I was also on the unlucky side when I did this quest.

I've done the quest several times and never not gotten the bracer.

I did get experience, faction and money each time. I guess I'm just unlucky!

dunno if you're pot committed at this point but it's really not worth it on a monk anyway imo. i got it on my sham and druid and they were replaced and thrown in the bank pretty quickly too. try your luck at scout roll!

I am indeed very commited to the quest at this point, plus I like getting upgrades in small increments. I know the Velious bracer is way better at summoning throwable items, but the Bracer of Hammerfal seems like a solo attainable stepping stone.
Plus I'd like to get it for my druid, cleric and shaman to level up throwing and "having an additional option" (whatever option might call for the necessity of throwing items haha) if that makes sense. Surely I will realize what you're saying at some point (maybe not, we never know), but I'm not at that point yet :P
