Advice for Gnome Mage finally leaving Steamfont

I just dinged 12 on my Gnome Mage, and decided it's time for me to leave Steamfont Mtns. I'm thinking of heading to Antonica, but wondering if anyone had any advice/tips/experience on a decent zone to head to now.

You could do yard trash in Unrest, best spot if you're looking for a little grouping at that level.

I’d get a lift to WC and bind in Freeport. It’s not as romantic as Unrest, but North Ro and Oasis are prime mage spots. Scarabs, spiders, crocs.

I've always loved the WK/NK/SK/EK leveling path. Great (cash) loot, great quests, interesting and sometimes valuable drops.

For characters I've levelled, it's usually bandits, Brigands, Beetles, Wardogs, Snakes, Spiders, bird people etc....

Unrest is good. Another option is go to qeynos and do WK bandits and turn in the sashes. Good exp and solid spell money from the turn ins, if you need it. Kill the willowisps you come across and at ~15-16 you can turn the lightstones in and move on to another spot. Maybe the scarecrows are good at that point, not sure.

NK/EK has a ton of trash and the guard tower and bridge are reasonably safe but it is mostly animals/insects so crap loot. Around 22 you can do crag spiders until 24 then move on to SK aviaks until ~29-30 then do gnolls until 35.

If you want to group there's the unrest/mistmoore/COM/karnor/velks treadmill.

Head over to Crushbone, not too far away. Great zem, can kill legos around the castle and eventually get into the throne room which has a fast respawn time.

Warrens to 24 (get faction) ->paineel until 51->faerie dragons to 57->Geos until 60. Youll hit 60 and have over 100k saved up for your next char.

Crushbone is pretty classic progression for you! I like unrest. Idk if anyone is around to group in those zones though.

I found crushbone annoying at 12 because the lower mobs are green and legos are often yellow.

Unrest is cool because there's like at least a dozen bugs in the front yard that cap at level 11-12 IIRC so you can do at least a couple levels there. If you do the entire progression you can leave at 40. There's often 2-3 groups in there but the issue with unrest is that it can't support many groups because of mobs scarcity. Super fun zone though.

With a PL’er, Crushbone, Unrest or better yet the Warrens is amazing. They are famous train zones for a reason though…mob density, most of which path, aggro though walls and doors.

Mages do best when they can single out and kill, then quickly move on. I liked the Karanas, N/S Ro and Oasis, and Highkeep (close zone, easy rezzes).

High ZEM is awesome when it’s not slowing your setup time or resulting in deaths. Otherwise give me boring.

Crushbone pulling from castle entrance and working up into the throne room is peak EQ from 12-20. Don't miss this core memory!

That's absolutely right, and it makes Kurns the best spot probably since everything can be single pulled and it's high ZEM.

Ask a dial for a port to EJ, get invis, levi, sow, and have a butthole clenched run up the hill to FoB. It's not that bad!
