Blue and Green are the same now and I guess a merg is never going to happen so why not let blue use 2 characters because it sure would be nice to be able to port myself around and buff myself and maybe it might bring some life back to the server. Just really sucks to spend all that time on a serve that has been murdered by its own creators.

Honestly, 99.9% of what makes p99 better than other servers is the no boxing rule. It MANDATES we play together.

The vast majority of people on the server also feel this way.

It wasn't murdered by it's own creators.. They created P99, and for all intent and purpose the project is completed. We the players are the life of the servers, and it's our job to keep it populated. Unfortunately this game caters to a very specific age group, who isn't getting any younger, and who have very much had our fill of nostalgia..

You got a free game, free updates, free bug fixes for over a decade. You are the one wanting to murder the project by playing single player cause you can't deal with walking, taking a boat, or having in game homies. Quit whining.

Fresh green is about the only thing that could really bring me back to P99. I had a lot of good times leveling over the last few years, but I wish I'd listened early on when someone told me to just re-roll on green. I was only level 20, the server seemed lively, I'd landed in a semi-static group, tunnel was popping, you could always find dial on and it was a lot of fun. Now every time I log into blue it feels like a ghost down, but I've dropped probably 1000s of hours and just starting over on a server that's already at final phase Velious? Idk, seems pointless.

Hot take. I like that blue is completely dead because i get easy access to any camp I want 95% of the time.

That being said, I do think they should merge, but if it doesn't include the launch of a new server, it's not something I'm super invested in. The only thing that will change is that the game will be more annoying for me to play if the servers merge. I dont really enjoy playing in a late stage capitalism version of the game, hence playing on blue instead of green. economies are cooked on both servers, but at least on blue im not forced to play around annoying uber twinks and try-hard guilds. if there was a new server though where i can enjoy playing with untwinked characters, and all of us starting over and progressing together... yeah that does actually have a lot of appeal to me. the current stage of grouping is so ridiculous that it makes everquest seem like an easier game than world of warcraft. everyone running around in skyshrine armor with the best buffs in the game, nbd if anyone dies because there level 60 cleric is parked outside. like cmon dude, lets get some real classic eq going, not some easy mode wow clone.

at least when i charm on a non twinked enchanter i still feel my adrenaline going. i dont get that from the ultra twink groups who ask me to stop mezzing mobs because the mobs cant kill them and they have a damage shield. like what even is this game rn.
