Just came back after a number of years and see GINA is not being maintained. Does it still work for P99 and if not what's a good replacement. I used GINA mainly for the triggers. Thanks

https://github.com/smasherprog/EqTool has grown a ton, but I believe most people still use GINA.

I switched from GINA to EQNag (https://guildantix.github.io/eq-nag/) earlier this year and absolutely love it. You can even import a gina package over to it and it has a discord for help or ideas

It does function slightly different so even if you import from gina you'll have to fix things a bit. Triggers apply to all characters until you go into each trigger and setup filters and you can set them so they only trigger on a certain class or only trigger if in a certain zone

Vouching for EQnag as well. Very intuitive software, good looking interface and an active, helpful Discord.

I prefer EQLogParser over EQNag. Worth a look for those interested: https://eqlogparser.kizant.net/

Sir, this is a P99. If you aren't using velious UI with 0 - 3rd party programs you're basically playing on a game genie and your results do not count.

I don't really care if my "results" count to you.

I don't really care if "GINA" works for you

EQ has been producing a log file since the it was first released, and we have lots of examples of early (2002-2003) log parsing programs, such as EQ Companion (https://web.archive.org/web/20020803171741/http://www.kaishome.com/EQCompanion/), Yalp (https://web.archive.org/web/20021202230643/http://members.shaw.ca/yalp/index.html), and more (https://web.archive.org/web/20030902080328/http://pub6.ezboard.com/fnamelesstavernfrm24.showMessage?topicID=328.topic ).

But even in classic times (2000) there was EQParse (https://web.archive.org/web/20000831235615/http://kqp.mpog.com/EQParse/) ... so I think it's safe to say that while such programs have gotten a lot better since, at their core log parsing programs are clearly classic (ie. not cheating).

There was evidence of Game Genie existing in era as well, that doesn't make it a part of the gameplay as developers designed it, or something that was condoned or endorsed by the IP creater/holder.

In fact I would argue that all cheats created over time were created using existing attributes of the games as they were released. Nobody was recreating the same exact game, modifying it in the way that cheats modified it, and releasing it as their own product.

If you need Gina to play EQ in 2026 you're beyond help.
