Hi, we are <Marginal Threat>!

If you're excited by the idea of taking on a new active role in raid, being a crucial part of the team necessary to slay a tough dragon, or always looking for a way to get involved, Marginal Threat wants you.

Formed by a small group of experienced end game raiders from top p99 Green guilds, Marginal Threat was founded to bring together players who actually want to play - people who log in ready to contribute, collaborate, and enjoy the game without drama or ego.

We have no required raid attendance and no dues, log in when you're available and contribute however you can. The only requirement is that when you show up, you're ready to learn, get involved, and step up.

Check out our website to apply or for more info and see what we've been up to lately:

Having a great time here!

If I could suggest a guild for people that want to have the feeling of a good group. but do it while killing dragons - this is it!

Lots of knowledgeable players, many of whom are in it for the love the game and vibes more so than any loot or item. Anyone who wants to learn how to make a difference, how to compete, how to achieve their goals in the game (gear, a dragon they always wanted to kill, or just to make friends and game) would be smart to at least check MT out.

In weather, "marginal risk" or "marginal threat" signifies the lowest risk category for severe weather, meaning isolated and short-lived severe storms are possible but unlikely to be widespread.

Easier when you're BIS.

Seems like a wildly applicable description.

Thanks! We had a fun cycle yesterday too with some kills of Draco, Terror, Lady Nev, and a few fun attempts and close calls to secure a couple other kills. We are doing a lot with a little currently and looking for more interested players - regardless of playtime or experience, we're open arms and willing to help people learn new skills and be a part of building something up.

Buncha big kills this week on the natural post-draft cycle.

Thought we'd share and also speak a little about our recruitment goals. Thanks for checking it out if you do!

We'd be excited to have the opportunity to be the guild for you :)

We're still openly recruiting new players.

We just put together a nee onboarding program with raid basics and also will be doing a training or next week which is a great opportunity to get to learn and ask questions.

Sometimes jumping into a raid guild can be intimidating and you have a thousand questions - we are full of people happy to teach, train, help and play with.

Thanks a ton! We have been working on target variety lately and as we grow moving onto more targets.

We've killed Dain several of the last quakes along with a ton of player growth. We are having a Cleric and basic mechanics training this evening.

MT also provides fun activities throughout the week like we did a Veeshan Peak spell farm on Saturday and got over 60 spells for players, including Torp, multiple Dictate, Bane of Nife's, EoT, etc.

We hope to be pretty competitive on this weeks Vindi challenge as well :)

Still recruiting and we invite all interested to check our website for vibes and the link to the discord:

Just wanted to provide a fun update, that our first Draft went great (full VP clear, Yelinak, Dain and other fun stuff)!

And we've had some fun adventures through the Easter weekend. If you want to get a good idea of the fun stuff, and vibes, check our newest update and the video of our low man Trak win!

Sorry for the bump, but it's usually only for some cool new benchmarks.

This past week our guild also killed Dozekar for some great loot, which is another big step for us and we're looking forward to our participation our second draft next week.

Never been a better time to join up, as we do lots of fun stuff on draft week - including helping new raiders get situated, learn about the game and encounters, trainings, epic quests and the like.

Hope everyone has a great Mothers Day weekend <3

MT feels like a tight knit brotherhood with a great culture. We are having great times and currently have an awesome boom in applicants, its a big priority for us to build these apps up and its been so cool watching our core players bring up the promising recruits. To people who would consider joining, you would be in great hands!

Would I be forced to play a bot? I have two toons, both low 50s (CLR, DRU), and I really don't like the bot meta.

No one is forced to do anything. We are welcome to present and returning players or anyone interested in the game of Everquest, who do have an interest in raid content.

It is for sure a significant aspect to our guild culture, as it's what most of us find entertaining and fun about this version of the game and Project 1999.

If you wanted to focus on leveling up your own character until they were able to meaningfully contribute (varies for classes, but in this instant, a cleric over 52 or 55 and a druid at level 60), that is totally normal and several new members are all doing this and leveling together. When raiding, it is important to try and bring something that will help us win and succeed, and occasionally that might mean playing something suited for the fight - or swapping to help port a guild mate - or logging on a buff class to help a friend.

Luckily, you seem to be playing a cleric, which are needed at nearly all raids. Another way to look at the idea of 'bots' - in whatever guild choice you make - is that engages happen quickly, and to run your cleric from Karnor's Castle to Icewell Keep for an engage just isn't a realistic thing due to the competitive nature of the game. So you should look at bot programs for all the guilds as the best solution and tool to be able to participate until you have more of your own toons.
