Newbie roadblock

I am exited to have finally installed P99. I've been on EQ for years. I have an account, downloaded the links, etc.. The game launches but does not accept my password! I'm sent to (eqbl.station.sony.com/launchpad/index.jsp) ..apparently a dead end. My excitement is morphing into torment and frustration. Could anyone help resolve my dilemma. I really need to kill some mobs. Preferably here. Thank you in advance. ;)

Thank you! I had success, and I have had a blast...then came the patch...I haven't learned exactly what to do with the zip file. Working on it.

It'll be the same thing you did to patch when you installed. Once you have the new patch downloaded, extract it to a folder. Then copy everything in it over to your EverQuest folder and have it overwrite existing files

Make sure you copy the patched files themselves from the zip folder to the relevant directories in your EQ folder. Meaning, don't just copy and paste the entire folder and overwrite the one in your EQ folder...some patches only overwrite certain files within those folders and not all of them, so if you just copy and paste the folders from the zip you will lose things and have to reinstall.
