I made the switch to green about a year ago, and it took me a long time to hit 60 as a Ranger, but I finally did it. The problem is, now I need to make a good amount of plat and start working on gearing. I’ve been on blue since it opened in 2009, and it’s been a LONG time since I’ve had to worry about plat there. I have never had any issues building up enough for pots and Clickies I use during raids, and for years, the majority of my gear has come in the form of raiding. When I was farming plat in the 2012-2015 period on blue, I was using a 60 Enchanter to farm NG in Sebilis pretty much every day. I did this for years until I amassed a small fortune that I’ve managed to grow since then.
My current issue is that I’m a Ranger main this time with a fresh level 60 in pretty rough gear. I don’t really know how to fund myself this go around. Up until now I’ve just been farming HHK guards or grouping at Geos. But the geo groups are hit or miss and the guards are often camped by levelers. I’m just curious if there are some other options out there, outside of just raiding and selling raid loot as I like my current, casual guild..
Open to any ideas if you guys have any!

https://wiki.project1999.com/Treasure_Hunting_Guide isn't quite as robust as the corresponding XP page (https://wiki.project1999.com/Per-Level_Hunting_Guide), but it's still not a bad place to start.

I would think about your class strengths and what you can do uniquely better than the masses. That's where you will find the best value in the time you put in versus the platinum you farm. To me tracking comes to mind.
For most rangers I think that path leads them to farming Quillmane and selling Peggy cloak loot rights. Easy difficulty, something your class can do better than anyone else, good value, continual demand. Probably the #1 way rangers farm plat.
Basically anything that requires long distance tracking. Most guilds pay (DKP) trackers during natural spawn windows, another option aside from farming that you are uniquely qualified for.
Droga also another popular place when endless mobs, skins sell for decent money and can be farmed endlessly. Hill Giants in RM are a fun competitive camp that tracking/sow can help give you an edge at.
Tons of options.

Join a raid guild.
Acquire DKP.
Use DKP on dropables (think Zlandi heart, etc).
Sell for plat.
guards are always a good source of slow and steady plat. Being a woodland creature, I'm sure your ranger would be fine at killing Grobb guards, if those are too strong for your gearing, try Oggok instead. Troll guards always drop weapon and shield to sell, Ogre guards (iirc) always drop a shield and usually some FS weapons. Both cities will sell to you if you have wolf form up.
also, if people are trying to get exp in these places, kindly bow out and let em level up, don't be one of those lv60 [expletive deleted] who completely bogart all of the Grobb guards to plat farm.
an ezpz alternative to the guards in the above cities is the two wandering Ogre guards in the Feerrott, Bouncer Hurd (https://wiki.project1999.com/Bouncer_Hurd) and Flerb (https://wiki.project1999.com/Bouncer_Flerb), easy for you to track down. I spawn camped Hurd to level my druid from 39ish to 45 and it was on average about 10pp per kill. Can sell to the neutral vendor (https://wiki.project1999.com/Murga) in zone when getting encumbered.
killing both is not a lot of plat mind you but it's a mindless and easy 120pp~ an hour. Add in specters near PoF, if it's open, those scythes sell pretty well too.

Was going to say Grobb as well. Have actually seen high level Rangers doing this on Blue before. Being able to vendor / bank in zone makes it very chillax and AFK friendly.

Hunter / forager cycle in TT. Iksar BPs and illusion masks sell for good plat in EC.

Droga is good money per hour. Stock all the goblin armor and vendor and sell skins/named drops in EC.
Like others have said, hunter/forager for some of the named. QM/JBoots MQs.
I also noticed black/haze panther armor are in high demand so if you can farm WL panthers while foraging yew leaves, you could team up with a 240+ tailor for good money, most good pieces sell for 1-3k. You could probably make some tigeraptor cloaks too. Ditto for some arctic wyvern pieces but this also all hangs on your willingness to farm velium ores too. Couple moving parts on this scheme, too many for most but I believe the profit might be worth it.
Not sure how it would go on a ranger but you could also crawl LGuk supplier all the way down to executor. Some of the drops sell ok in EC and some other vendors for 100pp+, on top of loot money, FS and gems. TBB sold for 2k last I checked.
SolB FS + ore blocks was alright since you could sell in zone but I think ore block prices got nerfed. I think droga remains the undisputed king of mass killing camps but the interesting camps (chief/soothsayer) are often taken to this day.
