Skyshrine Fe'Dhar Drops

Hello!
Anyone been farming them Fe'Dhars? Ive been looking for the Wyvern Hide Tunic. Does it drop off of any of the Fe'Dhars? I know the wiki can be wrong sometimes. Is it as rare as the Wurm Lords Shawl?

wiki is definitely wrong about the table having a equally flat 3% drop rate across the board, haven't seen earring/shawl or your tunic, seen double digit drops of other things on there though

i just do bottom casually, need necros to upload logs for a better idea of actual drop rate

Ive put a lot of time into the bottom ones and I havent gotten any of the earrings, WLS or tunic yet. I have also gotten Vindication, the spears, and the 2h axe tho

I have camped 3 Wurm Lord Shawls.

I have never gotten an Elders Earring, and it is probably the only thing on that loot table I have never seen. Other people have told me they have had better luck, so I am under the assumption that the loot tables are pretty close to accurate and I just didn't get the RNG for an earring.

I always killed the lowest level Fe'Dhars for my camp which are the ones you see at the lowest levels usually up to the room where you use a teleporter from the balcony and are surrounded by Fe'Dhars. Some of these are green at lvl 60, and there is a roaming cube in this area that will often spawn a uniquely resistant and what I always referred to as a underconned "Supercube".

That tunic will likely drop off of cubes or those White Healing Wyrms you run into before the Fe'Dhars as well, but I would focus on the Fe'Dhar Wyverns as they are much less of a PITA to deal with. There are plenty of them but if you are ahead of respawns then you can always add those 2 named healing wyrms to your cycle. I can confirm they will drop similar loot.

The drop rates are hella rare, so you need to be pretty dedicated for anything specific. Be prepared to kill thousands. An Enchanter min/maxing this farm can still end up slaying hordes of these for days to weeks and not see the drop they want. Make sure to park toons there that could maybe pick up some useful loot because you only have 6 minutes to swap and loot something like a wurm lord shawl if it drops.

The trick to this IMO is to faction a toon and park it at the gate, then just have a friend AFK on the account while you farm and power level your alts. This way you can have something tangible or measurable in case RNG hates your guts.

Thanks for all that info. So have you seen that Wyvern Hide Tunic drop on the lower ones while you were farming them at all? At this time it seems that I can keep the Wurm, hungry cube, and the 5 wyverns down consistantly with no downtime

My enchanter was running 19 mobs per respawn I think? Maybe more, it's been a long time. The two named healing wyrms and every Fe'Dhar between them and up to the first room full of them with the teleporter.

I don't even want to think about how miserable that camp would be with just 5-6 mobs per respawn cycle.

what's the ideal strat for a 60 wizard trying to get shawl, i'm just clearing the 4 spawns by that first gate with rend robe

I don't even want to think about how miserable that camp would be with just 5-6 mobs per respawn cycle.

So you think every items have about the same chance to drop but rng gonna rng?

Someone on the wiki suggested lower level mobs may not drop shawl but if they do I guess they all have the same loot table. I also read a couple times it took people several thousand kills to get a shawl but if drop chance of any item is like 5% and there's 20-30 items on the drop table then yeah, that checks out for any item. I've also had people tell me they did the shawl and they were swimming in some drops while shawl took them forever. May be just rng.

I'm asking because I kinda want the xialn mask and wondering what I'm getting into. I want it but maybe not 6000 wyverns bad.

4 shawls farmed for me, 2 more for friends of mine. Yes, I’ve spent quite lot of time farming SS… and I don’t think I have ever looted that tunic

In my experience not every item on wiki SS loot table has the same drop rat, far from it.
Weapons are the most common drops (including the various tash/ wiz DD/AoE proc staves), mask and meh secondary caster items will drop and rot a few times as well before you see either the good caster shawl or the PoS melee/ hybrid one which has exactly the same graphic and you might get a couple Oiled Greaves if you’re lucky

Earring is very rare, I only got one after more than 5k wyvern/ wurm kills.
Don’t bother with cubes their loot table is terrible.
Wurms have never dropped anything for me but minor spells and books for a pita quest (Tunare MAG only) but I hear they can also drop the shawl. One is a pure melee the other one is a caster (read ToT/ Wandering Mind to get some mana back)

Charm the super cube if it’s up, or kill the regular cube it to try & get it to spawn, it will shred wyverns and speed up your farming a lot
The first wyverns before the first tp pad and the lower lvl ones at the bottom of the ramp leading to the maze share the same loot table. Kill them all and g’luck

Yeah they drop a nice piece or two for almost everybody so better have alts there that can scoop up instead of letting rot.

But most importantly a lot of the stuff that sells well is lore so you might want to have a bunch of mules in the area if you want to avoid constant trips to EC. Had a friend there that got a ton of skyfury/winter's/oiled greaves so if you want to bother with selling, come prepared.

If I parsed my logs correctly I've killed 2712 Fe'Dhars, named cubes and wurms. This is the bulk of what I've looted, but LORE NO DROP items will only turn up once in my logs even though some of them have dropped several times. The PTSD from seeing the shawl gfx in the loot window but turning out to be the Wurm Scale Cape and not the Shawl is real. Do not recommend.

I was contemplating farming some Skyshrine, but I think it would be quicker to kill Halfling Guards for their swords and shields and to buy a Lady M shoulders

I've done GGR and that junk ring isn't that rare so you expect it. WLS seems like a 0,1% deal so it must be a lot more heartbreaking.

Pure casters have very limited good shoulder options and they're all mostly excruciating to get so pick your poison.

Got 2 Skyfury , Elder Earring and 7STR back slot recently.

Wanting druid items for a friend, and Int for my wizard.

Also got shawl for my buddy 1st time ever farming there. Lucky ofc.

Looted a Wyv Hide Tunic from a Fe'Dhar, they def drop it. I did Fe'Dhars for months and came to the conclusion that one just has to do it for fun and surprise loots, impossible to actually plan for one of the loots. I got a lot of cool stuff but never a wurm lord shawl ;). GOOD LUCK!!!
