It's around 700 players at the time of this post. You can find groups in the more popular leveling spots fairly easily.

Some dragons are rooted as players got too good at trivializing fights by pulling them to zone entrances, its a mix of raid mobs that get pulled to the zone in for easy fights and some (mostly inner ring ToV) that are rooted.

/list is mostly removed from the game, it pertained to a few highly contested non-raid camps as the servers were in progression. Most highly contested bottleneck camps for widely attainable items are now player agreements, often involving a roll (ring 8, ring 10, angry goblin, etc.)

its going to go 1 of 2 ways:

- you'll play to scratch the nostalgia itch, realize its dumb, and quit

- you'll get insanely hooked and within a year will be deep into pixel sickness responding to bat phones at all hours

Yeah a couple they never got around to removing because they are irrelevant/not used. You can just run up and kill him and loot without ever using the list. Only really useful if the mobs about to spawn and someone else is there for it too.

Yeah, like that time I was camping Bloodgill Marauder, and then someone sneakily came up and added themselves to /list - and when I killed the mob I was locked out of corpse because the person added themselves to list. They looted it - I had to wait another 8 hours to get the piece.

I was in LoS of the mob camping it for about 40 minutes - and the person came running in and /listed literally WHILE the mob was dying. GM said on petition response that it was a shitty thing for that player to do - but there was nothing to be done about it.

is hilarious to compare starting zone experience for brand new players for Nek vs EF

Nek as *female* Best Elf {Eeee-VIL):

1) there is *no* night in Nek

2) the skellys are indifferent at least on my cleric - and they are pinatas ( they drop armor / containers / weapons ( can use or sell [cracked staff] / plat / etc

3) teaches you about aggro as a brand new player : can kill one surrounded by a others of that type / [spiders]: social aggro / how to con => this one is a blue / that bear over there is red so keep away

4) can easily solo even as an enchanter : just need your level 1 pet ( wall-e ) - save bone chips ( will explain why later )

5) you want to to get to humans [Freeport] to group w/ them and enjoy their newbie zone = just take the road ( using nparse of course ) and keep your head on a swivel until get to ec ===> once get to ec tunnel ( [U]blue/green only )

naming scheme:

the full name you pick must *not* creep you out when players address you:

eg. "hey Cindy - I will buy your bone chips"

to get pity and guys may assume u a girl IRL so they gift you weps etc

/ooc broke level 1 chanter needs a sow and a bind in FP please / no is buying my bone chips

EF as Barb:

1) night blindness - not too bad iff have a lightsource - which you lose once you die

2) yes there are skellies - lvl 1 decaying *but* there are three deadly vengefuls [composer / soloist / lyricist ] mixed in so have to assume a vengeful

3) to group with a human player in Qeynos - only have to make it thru BB <- super easy as lvl 1
