Dinged 60 on my pally. Basically tunnel geared besides a Great Spear of the Dawn. As I look ahead to prioritizing raid items, what do you think are the most impactful items to go after first?

Fiery Avenger, just so you have something to 2h bash with, then swap back to great spear.

In no particular order: Narandi crown, 41% haste (so you can Yaulp4 with VoG) ideally Gauntlets of Dragon Slaying, ring 9 and eventually 10, two Beni bracers, two HGL’s, Cloak of Silver Eyes (cheap and for the DKP cost is basically BiS).
I would also fill out your bags with the typical useful stuff. Invis rings, leatherfoot cap, Thurg potion, OT mallet, Soulfire, etc.
Otherwise just focus on the lowest HP slots to maximize your gains. 6k raid buffed is a nice North Star to set your priorities to.

Definitely be opportunistic with your DKP and get bargains wherever possible, for survivability more so than BiS. Anything along the lines of flurry shield, vindi boots/bp, cek claw, cloak of silver eyes, etc. If I was gearing an alt, not as concerned with maximizing HP, I would grab things like koi orb and save for vulak axe / tuna flamberge first, as either weapon would add more oomph to solo and group settings. That said, my retired paladin has dawncaller spear and got a lot of mileage out of it. Even when soloing, jousting undead, it was a nice change of pace being able to sit and med or dwbp while the proc did its thing, occasionally finishing off the target.
There are a few mainstays that you can't go wrong with, though they will cost more, namely ring 10 and crown of narandi, but both are worth it even just for the effects.

Rocksmasher is low key really nice if you're not STA capped and don't have good haste. Obviously Vindi BP / BoE, vindi boots, Yeli gloves and dain belt, also cek claw, flurry shield combo are things to pick up early. Also whatever the good pieces of HoT armor are, etc.
That said, I'd pretty quickly beeline for a primal, esp. if soloing is something you like to do.

wiki --> paladin equipment by slot --> sort by HP
anything not bis should go pretty cheap

Isn't there an argument for AC if focusing on solo(which you should as a pally). Forget what the knight one is i've heard like 1200 minimum or something makes a huge difference.

I would think that would come naturally.
Also if you're soloing wouldn't you want a big HP pool for soulfires?
Anything thats just grinding difficulty it won't matter.

idk i'd personally want more WIS for solo for more celestial cleansing clicks but again that all probably comes naturally

I tend to focus on HP’s finding AC and WIS as a bonus. I’d still rather have MR as a second stat to HP’s though.
I could definitely see placing some priority in Wisdom if you do more than GCD spam FoL. Every 225 mana gets you 700-875 hps (depends if a 5th tick). Items like an Othmir Totem aren’t the best if nearing Stamina capped but 18 wisdom is basically a free heal. A big deal depending on what you are doing. Another reason the Tunare 2h is a justified pickup over the Palladius, it basically has an extra 800hps.

AC is mob level capped. It was found for level 45 mobs you capped at 200 worn AC. So depending on the content you do you might want a little more but outside raiding there's no point in piling it sky high past a certain point.

True, but I'm not aware of anyone showing what the AC cap is for mobs in the 50+ zones like Seb, Velks, Chardok, KC, Hole, etc. Also, that was a level 40 mob, not 45. And given that the classes I parsed on were ranger, cleric, druid, I think we need someone on one of the three tank classes to contribute some parses before saying the whole AC-cap theory is anything more than provisional.
Until you hit the AC cap for what you're fighting solo I suspect AC is gonna be the most useful stat to increase. But if parsing shows a hit distribution with <3-5% max hits, it's likely adding more AC won't provide much benefit.

Frost giant escort is 45. Those parses showed 200ac cap on ranger/war/sk IIRC. Only difference between classes was due to avoidance, presumably due to different defense values. I thought your parses on Shiel showed a 180ac cap?
Most high end exp content done nowadays seem to revolve around mid 40s to low 50s so that's why a said you might want a bit more than 200ac depending on content but yeah, I'm not aware anyone parsed beyond level 40. Seems logical but could be wrong.
Started leveling my ranger again but it will be a long time before I can parse mobs 50+.

Ah you're right.
I just looked at my fights against sonic bats and LDCs in SolB, and I was AC capped or just-about. Magelo's (https://wiki.project1999.com/Magelo_Green:Ranelagh) up to date but I haven't calculated worn ac. Hope to have some data against WL geos and hunter/forager in TT soon.

Our rangers have almost identical gear, mine is sitting at 193ac right now, I went a little bit more str/hp heavy. I find EC geared it is "easy" to get to 200ac worn but getting to like 250ac from EC gear is difficult/costly without serious sacrifice from other stats. Probably a bit easier for a plate class like a pally. Not exactly sure how the AC from buffs gets counted either and I know pally has some of those so that might move the worn AC target down.
