Hey all, looking for advice for my next purchase for my Gnome Warrior - he's level 34 now. I will basically be mostly soloing so i dont care about aggro weapons, just better gear for solo play.

I have about 8k to spend, could potentially stretch to 10k max.

What should I go for:

1 - Herbalist Spade, won't proc yet and not a huge fan of the shovel look
2 - Reaver, cooler looking, best ratio I can buy in EC, I can work around the no magic thing
3 - Iksar regen bp
4 - Cobalt bp
5 - Something else I might be missing?

Note: I already have spiked belt (34% haste) and the clockwork arms (40% haste)

Thanks in advance!

regen and a staff of battle for now, then save for 2x blood point for 50

Reaver & 2 embalmers skinning knives to get your bind wound maxed.

Then save for 2x bloodpoint/truncheon at 50. Shovel is good for prox aggro in groups, but since you're soloing the proc isn't reliable enough to CC really.

1) Iksar Regen BP
2) Reaver

Is the ~160hp per minute really worth the 10/21 ratio on bloodpoints? That's like one mob round, feels like better weapons would negate that incoming damage?

thats a correct assumption. relying on a proc is always a dangerous game. i have found better success killing more quickly with a reaver and just bandaging back up after the fight

I mean even if it procced regularly and more than it even should it feels like you'd benefit more from ending the fight early.

OP shovel is a great group weapon for war but if you're soloing fleeing mob and they're rooted you'll be taking a couple rounds of extra damage, not worth it unless you're somewhere you can't afford mobs fleeing.

I have two blood points in my warriors bag and piercing isn’t capped. I’d do what Crede and Zeld said. 2h the world and bum buffs whenever you can. Kill near a vendor that sells bandages. A ToD is still underrated if your team doesn’t have a slow caster. I think the BP’s are overrated. Even killing greens for exp like HK guards, you take more damage than you steal back.

Agreed, blood points are trash. Your going to take at least 2x the riposte damage if your solo vs a big 2h. In groups they are just decent dps/low agro option.
Reaver for solo, frostbringer + something once your 40 for groups
If money is a problem, staff of battle works fine

You want a trunch of doom ready for level 50,it makes a huge difference in solo warrior life.

Opportunity to practice archery and bind wound while waiting for root to fade.

Opportunity to practice archery and bind wound while waiting for root to fade.

For sure, depends on your willingness to deal with it.

My experience was it wasn't. Use Truncheon then switch to Reaver/Narandi/Root shovel is a much better strategy.

Even bothering with trunch is debatable. For xp stuff just plough with shovel. For tougher fights trunch is useful: i managed to solo the knight of sathir with ToD evasive and I think cycling runed blade, vehement sword of reivaj and N lance. Not exactly a big name, but does summon.

I wouldn’t say it’s debatable. Bother with it, but not past a certain %. A lot of times you can get it to proc within 30-45 sec. I usually stopped trying after a certain amount of time but usually got the slow off. Something every war should have imo

If you are gonna solo then you need alot of AC and high damage weapons.

May not be the best option, but I have a haste belt, Oggok Cleaver, and I just fight berzerk and mega crit things. Works for me, and the massive crits are satisfying.

Thanks for the advice, got a Reaver and wrecked with 34% haste belt + 40% spell haste. Level 43 now thanks to the bonus xp!

What AC should I try to be reaching? I'm currently sitting at 918AC and 920ATK, skills are maxed. No lt sure if that's in the acceptable range. Thanks!

Thats great for sub 50
Youll need some decent gear to get much higher as you level

accepted wisdom is that 200 worn AC is the effective cap vs lvl 45 mobs ... this wisdom is based on only very limited data sets though (and I'm sure you won't be fighting lvl 45 mobs solo for a few more levels!)

step 1: hit level 46

step 2: park in tov

step 3: play cleric bots to acquire dkp

step 4: loot on warrior

step 5: leave ToV in mega gear and flex on pugs

Only time i ever used my blood points leveling is when the mob is running from low health. Especially if i have him snared. Then i can get a few free proc's in before it dies.

LOL, that does sound fun! I like how you think. Just gotta find a guild then... probably be 45 tonight!
