The run up to bowl is so routine to them, they have to land their feet in exact places along their run in otherwise they'll either overstep the line causing a "no ball" and giving the batting team a free point or understep and their intended "line and length" is off and the batter can punish him for it.

Dear diary. Went to church today and ate some jesus flesh, washed it down with some jesus juice. It was the best day ever.
We followed along with some rehashed 5000 yr old fables relabelled to keep it realz.
