I think is Qeynos/Halas. Not sure tho. I haven't really seen all cities yet.

Akanon is clearly the largest by volume.

Neriak is the most complex. Kelethin after. Then RV and kaladim.

Oggok and grabbed where the fastest most simple with akanon taking 3rd from the bottom.

It's clear everyone was into dark elf ladies.

The tunnel going nowhere in Oggok. What is the story there?

Lots of cut content. We were supposed to go all the way to veliius at launch butt they had to release immediately when the executives said.

We are missing a ton of really cool zones. We may never know what the oggok one was.

It should be the entrance to a grassy/rocky zone that connects to South Karana on the west side, East Karana on the north side, and a rocky/deserty zone on the east side (with that zone connecting to Oasis).

I'd make the west/east zone connections very dangerous, so there'd still be reason to take the longer route through Rathe Mountains and Lake Rathe to get to South Karana, or the northern route through Highpass when trying to go from Freeport to South Karana.

Neriak is most certainly not the most complex. Neither is Kelethin. Or Rivervale.

Just think what the game would be like if what we consider to be the most complex city was the least or if the least complex was considered the most. At some point the former would get obnoxious, too much of a good thing. but the latter would still be worse.

Zones without ceilings are inherently less developed. Someone didn't feel like putting tiles there.

I am gonna go with ogok, its got that weird wall with all the hut/rooms but its very much a useless area that has nothing really going on there.

And the rest is just a moon shape with a slab house or 2.

IDK if we can automatically label Freeport and Qeynos as overly simplistic. They consist of multiple zones, have warring factions, sewers, working boats. I think Qeynos is also the only starting city that has a zone like Surefall Glade.

Not sure I would say they are the most complicated, but definitely not the most simplistic.

There's interesting things in EQ too, like Guk is technically the old Troll city. Sebilis is technically the old Iksar city. Chardok is technically a city etc. Thurgadin, Kael... would he consider the Plane of Hate to be a city? IDEK.

Also I think there is some nuance. You could argue that Paineel and Erudin, as well as Felwithe and Kelethin, are part of the same starting area, similar to Surefall Glade and Qeynos.

I been playing a lot of MnM and the main thing I think is missing from their elf starting area is their equivalent of Crushbone and Felwithe.

Most complex/most effort: Paineel or Neriak
Least complex/least effort: Grobb or Oggok
Best vibes: Kelethin or Qeynos(sayer hut music in QH 10/10)
