New Battlefield is coming up. It looks a bit promising but I still can't decide if I will spend money on it. If it is anywhere near as expensive as a BlackCell battlepasses from CoD, I'll pass.

I've heard Battlefield 2025 will offer a monthly subscription which is interesting since I don't know any other fps game than Counter-Strike 2 and PlanetSide 2 which offer a subscription. Personally, I am in the mood for a new Battlefield, just not sure if it's worth it to buy those battlepasses and pay the monthly subscription.

A thing I like about Battlefield is that they use real names for the weapons and not some imaginary names like BattleBit Remastered and Call of Duty use. Noone will play Black Ops 7. I'm only interested in the Modern Warfare Makarov story at this point.

I think if this Battlefield is any good, it will revive the series. People are tired from BF 2042 and Black Ops 7. Imo Modern Warfare III had the best gameplay in the CoD series but it suffered from that magical skill based matchmaking which rigged things pretty hard. It was still fun.

Naw. I grew out of this style of FPS after my military career ended. The games just aren't realistic enough for me.

A new HALO on the other hand. Maybe!

I haven't played many of the recent battlefields, but I have been itching to load it up, so I am planning on trying this one.

Honestly, yes, still planning to check out Battlefield 2025, mostly because no other FPS captures large-scale warfare the way Battlefield can when it's done right. If the subscription includes mod tools or server customization like the old days, that alone would be worth it for me.

So has it gone from season passes to monthly subscriptions now? I'm very much not up to date with FPS shooters, loved BF3 though back in the day :)

It was the most immersive FPS that ive been in (what would be considered copywrite theft today) from all the apocalypse now locations and stuff was great.

Their fooliage system was.. weird. But the best foliage in a game by far. That was immersive as fuck.

I remember I used to get so good with the sycile knife, and 1 by 1 you could kil like 6 people whlie they moved through the folliage and they would be shooting in random directions not knowing where you were. Was good times.

But nothing.

NOTHING.

Compares to flying squadded out B25 bombers over enemy airfields while they try to take off and do that to you.

Someone should tell the stop killing games r words.

The nightmare fuel one had a vespa with a bazooka welded onto the side. It was hilarious.

When I saw players loading up in Helicopters I started having flashbacks from Tribes 2 and the OG Planetside. When I was a kid there was something about loading up in those large flying vehicles and flying across the map to storm the enemy base that always got my adrenaline going. I'll for sure be trying this game for that reason alone. ;)

Man I miss Tribes: Ascend. Was such a good game! One time I even got the highest possible multi kill, I think it was 10 or even 12 players in 5 seconds or something like that. (With killstreaks)

If Battlefield 6 (2025 or 2026) is any good I might even wanna subscribe to that if it's not too expensive. If you sub you will get all battlepasses and that's probably a lot better and cheaper when compared to BlackCell from CoD.

2142 is legitimatly one of my favorite games ever made.

The titans:

1. accessing the titens as the enemy using jump ships and starship trooper dropping onto them.
2. navigating titans as the enemy, through air conditioning ducts and breaching the cargo bey.
3. the attrition as you move down the hallways twoards the super computer titan core.
4. the C4 destruction of the titan core, while you jump off and watch it explode and crash to the ground as you parachute down.

That gameplay loop was as immersive as ever quest to me. It was incredible.

And I haven't even mentioned the other 80% of the game yet!

2142 invented class based FPS's too.. gaining and grinding EXP in a compeditive FPS for the first time was so awesome.

Building a Special Operative or Sniper recon by purchasing skills on a skill tree, was incredible.

Let alone, functioning mech walking tanks..

Oh i and the General mode, where it turns the game into an RTS for your elected comander, as you air strike, guide your squad leaders, and drop supplies to their troops.

Pound for pound, like EQ... 2142 is one of the greatest games ever made.

Yeah! Considering battlefront was inspired from Battlefield, that does check out!

This is a fantastic game, Fan. tastic.

Seriously, the titans are way up in the sky, to get to them as infantry, you either need someone to fly a ship that looks just like one of those clone trooperr transports, with people on it.

OR.. there is this awseome tank, with 6 ejection pods in it.

You drive the tank below/next to the titan.

YOu get in a pod, and hit the eject button.. it shoots you up in the air like a mortor cannon and you can control it as you rocket downwards towards the titan, people are shooting at you like ukraine war footage trying to shoot down a drone, you're hurling towards it like a rocket, you EXPLODE onto the deck of the titan and jump out shooting BAM your squadmate lands next to you, you push them back into the hanger, they shut the doors, now its time to breach or sneak in through the airducts.

THen the hallways are meticulously designed so that you get into these cover fire fights, and move up like in incraments of 10 feet at a time, until youre face to face with the defenders and kill them, breach the core, set the C4, win the map!!!

Its so fucking good hnngngnggggggg

See the way the tunnels in the titan have like, these ribs every 10-20 feet? It creates a cover/move fire fight scenario that I have never, ever played in a game since. ANd is exactly like real life. Its incredible.

I'm not gonna lie I am HYPED for Battlefield 6. I will even pre-order it and buy the monthly subscription, simply because right now I have nothing else to play. I only play Quake Live, NFS World SBRW Nightriderz Server and waiting for Restitched on Steam.

Don't pre-order anything.

I will miss beta rewards if I don't pre-order. Since Battlefield 6 will be the singular only game that I will spend money on, I can afford it. Literally stuck playing Quake Live, NFS World SBRW, and waiting for Restitched and BF6.
