They solved having two servers by making a pvp raid instance only flagged ppl can go in.


Anyone in PQ can flag for pvp (red name) and there are even incentives to raid certain Kunark dungeons as a PVP raid. Anyone who is flagged can enter a special PVP only version of a Kunark dungeon or zone where a raid target is present, and the boss drops double the loot (while also typically being leashed as well). It isn't super active at the moment especially since Vel has not had this same system implemented yet, but in the later days of Kunark there was plenty of spicy encounters going on in KC, Seb, and HS, with a full 50v50 brawl occurring at VS once as well.

Not enough of a chance to get a full blown PVP box. If you make it instanced PVP and let people just fuck around for fun it might work.

I spent like 7 hours with Rettiwalk grinding Lizardmen to level 9 on Quarm so I'll probably pass but it's not a bad idea to add it to the blue servers as an option, I'm not sure if it would fuck up blue probably they'd cry extra loot or some shit.

Looks like we waiting a bit for a new pvp box. RoT is too custom. I think someone is making a pvp box with the clone of TAKP tho.

Quarm said they aren't going to do PvP instances for PoP. And it's already dying off some.

How well advertised are the pvp instances on Quarm?

Not that well, just guessing. There's a #pvp on their discord and just my post in r/ProjectQuarm asking about pvp.

I'm sure all the raiders on Quarm itself know because of the availability of the instances. However I don't know if they require characters to be permaflagged in the open world. Pretty sure they do. So most would only pvp on an alt afaik.

There is one event instance, Planes of Mischief that is pvp. Not sure what levels or loot or how exactly that works.

The vanilla-kunark pvp situation just isn't ideal for EQ. It seems.
