What I have gained from Buddhism is actually a longer life. More compassion for myself and others. The ability to find joy amidst great suffering. And a greater tolerance to pain and this chronic illness which is crippling me. Laughed my ass off so hard at just being stuck in bed covered in sweat for weeks.
