Regular days

Are there any regular days on Red? In other classic games communities like Tribes, games are empty most of the time but everyone logs in on weekends.

I think it happened organically over there but it seems like a good idea- making some easy system, like odd-numbered days or wednesdays and weekends, to try and concentrate players, help people find groups, and grow Red.

People don't want to group or raid, have 10 level 60's all BIS and shit.

They want others to raid, so they can grief them, basically. Raiding is boring though the people who tried to do it try to do it for the good of the server etc.

So it's a weird dynamic where you have to do shit you don't like, to beat people that are trying to grief you, when really neither of that is exciting.

It was fun there for a bit when Concealed crew was playing, I was immersed till they blanket banned Tempest and we won.

But honestly raiding is boring and painful to deal with the small population of mostly retards. Both sides lose basically. Listening to Twainz and Pomica in Discord?

I’ve noticed that in some games, there’s a natural flow where weekends are busy, but weekdays are pretty dead. Having a set "regular day" could definitely help make things more consistent for players trying to group up.

Turns out that a server population count of 3 is a regular day on red.

Turns out EQ PvP was a once in a life time experience due being the first online mmo, super high population/community involvement with the players.

EQEMU, from Image/Devnoob box to VZTZ, to Red99, to ROZ, have all been low population PVE grinders. Red99 was basically a one guild grind box throughout all of its history.

The idea of having 6-7 guilds with 3000 players online every zone packed, fighting, raiding enemy zones, 150+ people fighting in Plane of Fear/Plane of Hate can't be comprehended by your average EMU player.

I really feel bad for the peeps that never got to live it.

The culture now on ROT or Red99 is absolute silence lol. All the people in Tempest copied Tune's style so there's literally no involvement. The low population is multiplied by people behaving like 0 personality bots and makes it completely empty-feel.

There is a reason that people have been asking for a new server for at least 10 years on this server.

And make it classic for the sake of all things holy. The single act of having global OOC and auction channels critically damaged the possibility of an in game hub.

Not to mention other non classic changes that were all detrimental to the server.
