Hello all, as the title asks: is there a decent safe spot to med while camping the cave? I camped it a while ago on my monk and it wasn't very difficult to keep my HPs up while medding when needed. Having trouble on my enchanter though. Thanks!

Outside the cave up on the zone wall should be safe

Sit up high on the zone wall. There is a pather at the ent and another will come down from the valley fairly close to the cave entrance

If you sit high up on the wall there next to the cave entrance you'll be fine

@ the people above me: there's no zone wall at glacier yetis, glacier is the cave in the middle

I don't know the answer to this question, but eyeballing it after checking the place out a couple of times would have me guess there isn't a safe spot (there's also this https://i.imgur.com/WSySFsR.png)

They don't mean a zone wall as in a place you can enter a new zone but a zone wall as in the boundary of the zone itself. They mean to exit the cave and run high up the wall of snow.

There are higher level yetis located in a cave in the middle of the zone, different than Tundra Yetis.

I seem to recall just resting at cave entrance, but then again I had FD

Correct, tundra and glacial are different caves IIRC with the latter being higher level Yetis. I don't think there is a very safe place to med and AFK around there for longer than a few minutes. Pathing mobs outside the cave and a pathing yeti inside the cave that wanders the entirety of the main tunnel. You might be able to check out the outdoor pathers and determine if there is a safe spot around there where you could sit that no aggro overlaps.

The lower level yeti cave I believe there are one or two spots, as well as the zone wall outside the cave, to med/AFK at.

I think most people are thinking the cave that links the portal area to the main zone area (where KC and zones to BW/FM/FV are) and some people are trying to communicate that is not the location they are referring to.

Hence the confusion around zone wall as the connection cave has walls you can run up and hit a zone boundary.

But it sounds like the location of the camp is in the middle of the zone, nowhere near a zone boundary.

Hope that helps clarify

I guess in the early days of the wiki the mob template couldn't handle lots of locs, so people put them on the talk page. This happened to Tundra Yetis.

I fixed it (https://wiki.project1999.com/A_Tundra_Yeti), so now you can easily see both caves (there are two that have enough Yetis to be worth farming, which doesn't include that "lost valley" tunnel cave).

OP is talking about Location #7 on that map FYI

Nah they are talking about the actual yeti caves, they are just mixing up in their minds which one is tundra and which one is glacial

Actually now that I think about it I believe there is also a 3rd yeti cave, a smaller one, on the north side of the DL zone wall so some may also be thinking it's that one.

I'll admit I forgot there even were two kinds of Yetis :o

The tundra ones are on the zone wall caves, while the glacial ones are (as Rygar correctly noted) at #7 on the map ... in the middle of the zone, with no walls nearby:

Getting back to the original question, I imagine everyone is probably correct ... even though we're all thinking of the wrong yeti. I don't think the glacial yeti have a good safe spot nearby, so the walls probably are the closest safe spot to them.
